UW breaks the 10-game losing streak against Oregon and our players dance on the O just like in 2002.

It's time to restore proper order to the fucking universe.

I hope so, but I don't think it will happen, especially with Mariota returning. We should cross 10 wins though next season. Anything less is a massive disappointment.

2015 is more likely. But I wouldn't rule it out

6 conference wins minimum is priority #1 ... With that 10 wins takes care of itself ...

Owens, James, Ricky could not do it. All went to Rose Bowl and won in year 3. Can Pete do it in year one? Schedule sets up for a run. A lot returning talent, so who knows.
(It is going to be hard without the best play caller in America)
    2015 ROSE BOWL -UW

I have been doogin it up good the last two weeks

Rick did it in year 2 ...

I'm not saying Rosé Bowl year 1 ... I'm saying 6 conference wins and 10 or 11 wins overall... Christ we have 13 regular season games next year ... 14 with the Bowel Gayme ....

Then we take the next step ... IF we can get some linemen...

Pete's going to need time to get his guys in there. The cupboard isn't bare but the refrigerator is barren of quality beef. 2016 should be special

If Petersen can't get to 10 wins with that schedule he needs to be fired.

Pete's staff has a pretty good track record of developing solid O linemen out of guys he poached from Idaho and New Mexico St. Having bluechip OL prospects is a great thing and I hope we'll see that in the future...but James didn't get them all the time.

If Sark hasn't completely ruined the young OL guys, and there are some pretty decent ones, I expect immediate improvement there. And I expect 9-10 wins this year and build on that. The talent is there for the right coach. I'm hoping it's Petersen.

I would be disappointed with 10-4. 11-3 or better should be the goal. Oregon is a probable loss and then win 2 of 4 against UCLA, ASU, Stanford, @Arizona. That would be 10-3, then win the Alamo Bowl or the Holiday Bowl for the 11th win. It's certainly an attainable goal.

The good thing about the Petersen hire besides the obvious coaching upgrade is that the expectations will be back to where they should be which is competing for Rose Bowls/BCS Bowls every couple of years and averaging 9 to 10 wins per season.

Beat the birds in Pewgene? Not.

With the crappy lines my guess for 2014 is 9 - 3 and a bowl win. As RoadDawg says, the goal should be 10 - 2 + the bowl. This would be an good showing.

I think his break out year will be 2016. If not, we've got serious problems. BCS bowl in 2016 are GTFO. (By the end of the 2015 season, we'll know without question what we have.) In 2015 if we're seeing any slop on the field and pussy starters, that will seal the deal as well....take off.

13 gaymes in 2013.... hence the 10-3 minimum.

If 10 wins dont show up next year its gonna be ugly come 2015 and 2016, with this terrible recruiting class coming in and SC back on schedule be lucky to get 7 wins.

Agree Roadie, but forgiveness has to be given to a 1st-year head coach. I wouldn't expect numbnut- 7 to reach 10 wins, so I don't think anybody should expect 10 from Peterman.

7 wins should be expected, 10 would be a bonus and considered a massive accomplishment with a new starter at qb, and a new head coach. Fuck people, let's be fair and realistic, at least till we see spring ball and fall camp.

  • Flagged not for calling Petersen "Peterman" but for being a doog and saying we should expect 7 wins.

So we should expect to go 3-6 in conference or 4-5 with getting upset OOC to Hawaii, Eastern, Illinois or Georgia State?

Fuck you and your dogshit expectations.

we're throwing away a recruiting year with a coaching change so, next year is year 1 of "Coach Pete's" guys.

Baird says, you can't win until you have your 5th year seniors starting on both sides of the ball.

    you do the math.

I think people have lost sight of the original "_____(year) is going to be special" saying. Hiring an actual adult to run the program may have us dooging it up a bit but by the original rules, the ____(year) must be at least 3 years in the future, thus tempering expectations and not creating any accountabilty. For example, once Pete gets all his guys in there, 2018 is going to be special. At that point in 2017 when you see the writing on the wall, you proclaim that it's actually 2019 that's going to be special because there are still Sark guys in the program and Pete needs a full recruiting cycle. Then before the 2019 season, you throw the kitchen sink in there and see what sticks. 0-12 is always a good one. you don't realize the damage _____ had done to the program. You would have fired don james in 1988. If you're so smart, why aren't you wearing a headset?, etc.

But for once I have my hopes up that this fucktardedness won't be necessary.

Fuck that, I'll be calling for Pete's head if we win 7 games.
Our schedule is complete dogshit this year. 4 cupcakes, and UCLA, ASU, Stan and OSU at home. 10 wins should be the absolute minimum
