Dennis had it exactly right on their pod one or two back when he blasted the AD for their marketing and treatment of fans. In fact, Larry FS Scott and the Pac-12 made/are making the same mistake: Employing a short-term gain strategy that alienates potential long-term fans.
It is so fucking stupid. What made old Husky fans more rabid, vocal and numerous wasn't that they enhanced the fucking fan experience to make it a better entertainment option competing in the marketplace for discretionary dollars or some such bullshit, it's that it wasn't an "entertainment option" or "discretionary" at all. It's what you DID, because your dad took you to games and you tailgated with your family and you watched all the games because they were all at 1:00 and not competing with Ole Miss vs. TC fucking U on the ESPN family of channels! You make it tradition! You make it EASY and FUN for the fans! You create GENERATIONAL fans, not fans that will choose to go when the conditions are just right. Fuck.
Most lifeless "sellout" crowd I've ever been a part of. Could have taken a nap in the stadium no problem.

Memo to UW Marketing/AD Dept. Don't tell us the "Greatest Setting" was a sell out w/ 10k empty seat w/ another 5k open bleacher seats had you not had band day and some of the parents of those kids there.

Those empty seats were mostly full at the beginning with band students. Because of the time of the game, they left after the half. 7:30 starts really are the worst. I know at least 4 people who didn't go, and I know 4 who left at halftime. Trick play literally took the life out of the stadium. There actually seemed to be some decent buzz prior to that. But 13 seconds in it went to shit. Run. (clap) The. (clap) Fucking. (clap) Ball. (clap)

I was threatened to be towed in E1 yesterday over 6 inches that this 20yo dipshit demanded that I move. I parked where one dude told me, start unloading, this kid comes flying over like I ran over his foot, all upset. Told him I wasn't moving and to go away unless he wanted to grab the other side of my cooler. Cuz I'm super tuff n shit
