Chip's most important legacy was getting Oregon to a level where it's approaching blueblood status, or is already there. Chip's success turned Oregon into a national brand, along with a savvy as hell marketing approach to match the revolutionary football. Oregon has enough uni and helmet combos that the players could wear a different get-up for every game until the year 3300. All the talented cool kids grew up when the duck empire was at its peak, and they'll help Oregon return to the land of milk and honey.

You're not at that level and it's going to be awhile until you get back. It's not a guarantee either. 2010-2014 was as good as its gonna get.
Wrong. It's going to get even better. The ducks won't stop until we? get the title. Came too far not to finish the jerb. We're transitioning into an SEC style team. 2018 won't be special, but 2019-2022 and beyond will be telling. Need to be a team that can go the distance and beat the Auburns, LSUs and Bamas.
Oregon as a SEC Tranny is one of the greatest story lines ever. It would take years to affect the wholesale reformation from Chip-heritage finesse build to SEC power whatever. It took, what, 10 years to culminate with Chip? Now you want to throw that all out. Can you wait another ten years?
    UW did...
UW didn't wait for anything, our admin and fans were actively stupid in enabling and abetting the destruction of the program.

All hail St. Haden, may his name forever be holy.

And thank god for Pete remembering who WASHINGTON was.
Washington is Boise State. You can take Pete out of Boise, but you can't take the Boise St. out of Pete.
If Pete mixed his best Boise State team with Budda, Trey, Vea, and John Ross they were a natty team.

Day I became a close Duck fan. Anything more obnoxious than a scrub white boy wearing a head band and popping off.

LaGarett LaChucked that mofo. Dropped him like a Jake Browning scramble.
Oh, Yeah, LaGarett's a real tough guy when he cheap-shots a guy from the side.

Once a dirty piece of shit, always a dirty piece of shit. Fuck him. He'll be in prison within 1 year of retirement. Right where he belongs.

Outside of the big cities basically all of Mericuh is the same
Spent two decades on both coasts, 2 years in the boonies of Alaska, and the past 8 in the midwest.

    This is so true...

I like the drive dow The res comment makes me laugh. Last time we went down that way we stopped at a "traditional" native food stand. There was a nice old grandma and a chubby kid wearing an adult XXXL Trailblazers shirt helping out. My GF asked how old her grandson was and she politely corrected her that it was her granddaughter...she was 10.

The menu consisted of "native" style tacos...fried bread smothered in Nalley chilli with canned salsa poured over it. Cheese and onions optional. I assume Swaye to be one stinky, gassy dude.

I'll remember to chuckle about this next time I see an Oregon driver who doesn't understand how to handle a 4 way stop or who blindly merges into traffic going 10 miles under the speed limit.

Fuck Oregon. If I couldn't escape sales taxes by simply crossing a bridge I'd never go there.

"Native" tacos and food, plus the diabetes and health problems associated with it, have their history rooted in how the US government destroyed the Injuns and then put them all on government cheese diets.

Same goes for illiteracy and alcoholism. Indian schools are probably worse than Japanese internment camps and on par with Jim Crow in our history but are rarely talked about.

LaGarett LaChucked that mofo. Dropped him like a Jake Browning scramble.
Went to the Cal game at Autzen three weeks later and a bunch of BBC-craving white gurlz were sporting "Don't talk shit/You won't get hit #9" tank tops in the tailgate areas
Oregon cornered the market on ugly, grody WT, BBC craving bitches a long time ago. Appalachia ain't got nothing on the disgusting filth that resides in Oregon. Trump should Napalm the entire state.
People from Washington who don't realize that outside of the big cities, Oregon and Washington are exactly the same...will always be funny.

    This was after Oregon lost
Day I became a close Duck fan. Anything more obnoxious than a scrub white boy wearing a head band and popping off.

    Not quite.

You forgot the other CONUS states and some of our territories. Your Warshington rivalry myopia has kicked in.

    Same. Thing. Different. Accents. Everywhere.

    HTH

P.S. You're fucking white. Half of the available racism you could witness, whooshes right over you.

He blew his chance to get a championship when he left Oregon. Now it will never come to be for Chip.

Oregon was a fluke. Don't try to read too much into it.
