The Life AquaticI saw the royal tenenbaums and didn't get it. At all
-
Haven't seen any of them

Only seen life aquatic. Grand Budapest looked interesting but never saw it. Fantastic mr. Fox was a book I liked as a kid... not much to go on...

The Fantastic Mr. FoxMr Fox, quite easily. Budapest was somewhat enjoyable. The rest I just don’t get. Actively hated Life Aquatic.

The Life Aquatic
Life Aquatic is the best and it's not even close.GrundleStiltzkin said:Mr Fox, quite easily. Budapest was somewhat enjoyable. The rest I just don’t get. Actively hated Life Aquatic.
Correct order:
Zissou
Tenenbaums or Rushmore or Mr. Fox
Budapest
Bottle Rocket
Moonrise or Darjeeling
Haven't seen Isle of Dogs so I assume it's garbage.
-
The Life AquaticAnd I lean toward Tenenbaums second but greatly respect Rushmore and Mr. Fox. Especially Rushmore.

The Life Aquatic
The "let me tell you about my boat" tour of the Belafonte is the most visually impressive scene in all of Anderson's films.GrundleStiltzkin said:

The Life AquaticThe raid of the Ping Islands is thrilling
-
The Life Aquatic1- Aquatic
2- Fox/Moonrise
Need to see still: Rushmore, Bottle Rocket
Isle was just OK. Watched it on an airplane so probably fell asleep 9 times, not a fair shot.
In general, I love Wes Anderson films. Quirky, funny, smart. -
Rushmore
Rushmore, Tenenbaums and Aquatic are all pretty much tied for me. Same goes with their soundtracks. Wes Anderson and I are kindred spirits when it comes to musical taste.Dardanus said:And I lean toward Tenenbaums second but greatly respect Rushmore and Mr. Fox. Especially Rushmore.

The Life AquaticOf the more recent stuff, I didn’t care for Darjeeling, I liked Grand Budapest, and was pleasantly surprised by Moonrise. Haven’t seen Isle of Dogs.
Aquatic is 1, but Tenenbaums is a close 2nd. -
The Life AquaticSteve Zissou is my hero. Tenenbaums was fucking great. I read where Wes tried to convince Gene Wilder return from retirement to play Royal which is mind boggling to imagine. I wouldn't replace Gene Hackman with anyone tho, he gave Royal a real edge.
The casts are incredible which is why his animated stuff is always a slight let down for me. Willem fucking kills me in Zissou. Jason Swartzman impressed the hell out of me in Rushmore, hadn't seen him before. Goes without saying, Bill Murray cements his place as a National Treasure in Wes Andersons World.
Moonrise, Darjeeling, Bottle Rocket and Budapest were all really fun. First time I'd seen a Ralph Fiennes movie I liked, he was great. -
The Life AquaticI tried Isle of Dogs twice and was bored as hell within 15 mins. I'll wait a year, gain some fucking perspective, and probably love it after several more encunters. I liked Fantastic Fox after year 4 when Clooney got all his guys in. Reads dialed
edit* my fav gif

RushmoreThis may sound crazy but I think Herman Blume was Bill Murray's second greatest role ever after Caddyshack

Rushmore
Everyone getting a Glock really made this film.minion_doog said:I tried Isle of Dogs twice and was bored as hell within 15 mins.
