Pup said clearly pre-season the loss of Bryant would cost UW at Auburn, and The pac.12 race. Ty Jones has ZERO ball skills, Jake Cant find Pounds and nobody but Fuller is ready for the big time.
Jake is just mediocre at best anyway, but serviceable with hunter Bryant. Without him Jake is a hot mess, without Trey Adams and the shit Oline rolled out at the base of the Wasatch Range (the finest ski hills on the planet) he's a steaming pile of shit, mostly on 3rd and any distance.
Utah's Dline and backers are good, and quick. Usually Jake can get out of trouble, not last night. Wasnt his fault, but a lot to do with Hamden. No screen game to help Jake in obvious blitz situations. Every blitz Jake just backpedaled with no outlet. So Utah kept doing it, kept getting sacked, throwing picks and intentionally grounding the football.
1st and 10 from the 16 turned into 4th and 39 from round midfield. 3 straight blitzes, 3 straight sacks...utterly disgusting to watch. Part Jake's fault, he could have checked too. Just hard to watch that fuckshow on O.
Defense was awesome, but Cuntley helped them. Any other good qb and a WR other than Covey and UW loses by 2-tds.
On Covey. He'd be our best WR. He is special. B4 his mission as a true freshman he was Utah's best player. I told steel2 that dude is going to be a husky killer 3 more years, then he grabbed a bicycle and a skinny tie...praise the lord. Uw would have lost last year to them with him, and year b4.
