SEC Storied: Fran Tarkenton
The latest SEC Storied is on Georgia Bulldog hall of famer Fran Tarkenton who played before you were born. He was small and scrambled which you didn't do in the 50's
Freshman were ineligible so as a sophomore Wally Butts had him third string and said he would redshirt. Fran put himself in the opener at Texas when the starter got dinged. Led a TD drive
Butts said you ain't playing again. Fran said later guys and Butts had to relent. Fran leads them to a SEC title as a junior.
Sonny Sixkiller was too small and 3rd string at best before injuries gave him his shot.
Coaches fuck up the QB choice way more than the cult like worship of coaches would lead you to believe.
Is Haener the guy? Who knows but considering Pete's record on QBs you can't just rule it out because trust the coaches

But Dawkins transferred to Indiana, then abruptly quit the team when some jag named Peyton Ramsey beat him out for the starting job. He’s terrible. -
