Some highlights from Week 1 games:
- Shaq Thompson was second on his team with five tackles.
- Budda Baker was tied for second on his team with eight tackles.
- John Ross caught his first touchdown pass (but it was his only reception, and he was targeted only twice).
- Joe Mixon had 95 yards rushing on 17 carries and 54 yards receiving on five receptions (oh really? Sark didn't end up getting him to commit? well never mind).
- Keishawn Bierria played 20 special-teams snaps for the Broncos but none on defense.
- Kevin King started and played every snap for Green Bay's defense, recording two tackles with one TFL.
- Austin Sefarian-Jenkins caught three passes for 25 yards on five targets.
- Danny Shelton tackled four dudes in his debut for NE.
- Will Dissly did stuff for the Seahawks, but Darrell Daniels and Lavon Coleman did not.
- In addition to Coleman, none of the other dudes on practice squads played, for obvious reasons.
- Dante Pettis had two receptions, including a touchdown, but needed five targets to log those catches, and Jimmy Garoppolo looked terrible so we can only conclude that Dante Pettis is nothing without John Ross and was holding back Jake Browning.
- Sidney Jones had three tackles.
- Vita Vea was inactive with an injury.
- Jerramy Stevens ate roast beef for dinner, which was a bit salty but not too much so.
- Tank Johnson is still retired.
- Shaq Thompson was second on his team with five tackles.
