But everyone knows that Yale is inferior to Middlebury Voc Tech.

And atheists are more educated than theists. What's your point?

BTW, your federal tax dollars paid for this study.

Where was this study found? Who conducted it? What do the numbers for science comprehension represent? A test? If so, what kind of test? Any idea how the sample populations were chosen? Is there any reasoning for whether the results were statistically significant?death2ducks said:BTW, your federal tax dollars paid for this study.

It was done by a liberal professor who professed that he doesn't agree with the Tea Party though he admitted that what he knows about them was only through watching MSNBC, reading the Huff Post, and the NY Times. Sounds quite familiar.
The article provided no formal description of the study, the statistical methods, and minimal description of the tests used other than to say the p value was 0.05 which is the general value threshold applied to conclusions that are described as statistically significant. The r value seems to be a fair parameter given the data was presumably non parametric and this type of study likely used some sort of Likert scale.

I appreciate your explanation. I wanted it from meme boy here. I think he just likes to throw around articles and pictures that support his viewpoints.
I'm actually genuinely interested in the actual study, though. Don't want to get that confused. The survey/test used, sampling methods, etc. -
Can we all agree how hilarious it is that d2d proclaims to be a man of science yet comes up with gems like this:death2ducks said:BTW, your federal tax dollars paid for this study.
"A chart from a Libtard? Or a picture that you can use to decide for yourself? Any Jackass can draw a chart. Only God (not mankind) can cover the North Pole with ice." -

"I'll now be much less surprised, too, if it turns out that someone I meet at, say, the Museum of Science in Boston, or the Chabot Space and Science Museum in Oakland, or the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago is part of the 20% (geez-- I must know some of them) who would answer "yes" when asked if he or she identifies with the Tea Party. If the person is there, then it will almost certainly be the case that that he or she & I will agree on how cool the stuff is at the museum, even if we don't agree about many other matters of consequence."
This is the kind of elitist Libtard crap that I was forced to listen to throughout college and law school, and to pay over $100,000 of my own money. I'm quite sure that the conceited bastards had no clue that over 40% of their students, (Law School), thought they were full of shit. (Higher percentage in Business School.) -
Sorry. Still was in a little work mode.PurpleJ said:I appreciate your explanation. I wanted it from meme boy here. I think he just likes to throw around articles and pictures that support his viewpoints.

Without doing a study, all he'd have to do is hang out with these Tea Partiers. I find them some what interesting because their central tenets and philosophies basically can be summarized as that of preaching fiscal conservatism, less government intrusion and size of government, and adhering to the Constitution. They are a breath of fresh air because they don't generally espouse the bullshit part of the Republican Party that won't shut up about stupid social issues and they don't subscribe to Democrat philosophies that successfully pounce on the stupid social points of views of extreme right leaning dyed in the wool Republicans. Their success against stupid Republicans' social issues is all they're good at because their entire history of fiscal philosophy has generally resulted in complete and utter failure.
But you're right, his statistical analysis definitely needs to be described in more depth.
