Please explain what Browning (or Smith?) was thinking on this

He had so many options!WeakarmCobra said:Dennis_DeYoung said:The amazing thing about Jake’s performance in the UCLA game is that we only let him throw 11 times and he was still terrible.

He basically made the same throw against Utah but the Ute defender mistimed his jump. -
This negativity just makes Jake stronger

He almost threw 2 other INTs that just went through UCLA defenders’ hands.WeakarmCobra said:Dennis_DeYoung said:The amazing thing about Jake’s performance in the UCLA game is that we only let him throw 11 times and he was still terrible.

That's some elite arm strength. Not a lot of guys can make a throw like that, where the ball can stop mid-flight and goes up a little higher. It's like he's defying the laws of physics.WeakarmCobra said:Dennis_DeYoung said:The amazing thing about Jake’s performance in the UCLA game is that we only let him throw 11 times and he was still terrible.

The real crime of that throw is that he stared gaskin down the whole fucking time

Was this play:
1 - By design?
2 - A Browning audible?
3 - A bust?
What do you think the idea was with this lmao -
I really don''t think sodnc said:Looks like a textbook broken play to me, WTE getting blown up seems the most likely explanation.

If that is really the call, that is so idiotic. Also, did UCLA have their LB spy Browning on that play or did he just read it correctly?NorwegianHusky said:
Definitely looks like a designed bootleg run. It's a classic "They'll never expect it!", except they did. Might have worked if not for the terrible excecution by Browning. First he turns the wrong way and fails to hide the ball behind him, then he barely sells the hand-off. This guy is entering his 4th year. Let that sink in.Hippopeteamus said:The wr run to the opposite side of the field so it could have been a mix up. It also might have been intended for the TE to sneak out, but he gets pancaked. It seems that it is right after that that Browning tucks the ball and tries to just get to the line of scrimmage. It could have been a designed run, but then that would seem odd to run with browning.

Looks like a naked boot based on how quick Browning tucks it. Doesn’t look like he even looks downfield at all. Jesus Smiff.

I was ready for KJ to come in and run the triple option after that playWeakarmCobra said:Dennis_DeYoung said:The amazing thing about Jake’s performance in the UCLA game is that we only let him throw 11 times and he was still terrible.
