Player has seizures. Staff seeks medical attention an hour later
Murphy called the one-hour time gap between McNair showing distress at about 5 p.m. and the 911 call being made "an utter disregard of the health of this player, and we are extraordinarily concerned that the coaches did not react appropriately to his injury." -
Sources said a former offensive lineman whom the staff deemed overweight was forced to watch workouts while eating candy bars as a form of humiliation.
that'll do pig, that'll do -
Is that like making a kid smoke the entire pack of cigarettes if you catch him smoking?rodmansrage said:Sources said a former offensive lineman whom the staff deemed overweight was forced to watch workouts while eating candy bars as a form of humiliation.

It's like a kid quit smoking but you make him smoke the entire pack because you wanted him to quit 15 minutes earlier.Hippopeteamus said:

I'm sure it can be found, but ESPN or Sporting News had a "projected National Champuonship games" article like 5 years ago that predicted an Oregon/ Maryland national championship game around 2020. Their rationale was that the rival shoe companies would essentially take over college football. I guess we'll have to see if it comes to fruition.

Will Muschamp chimes in to defend the real victim in all of this, his pal DJ Durkin:

Talk about tone deaf. Someone should as him what he thinks about Zach Smith and Sandusky. -
Unless YOU have proof in HAND...it’s speculation for YOU. ‘Those who know’....meaning YOU are not a ‘THOSE’. I didn’t create the English language but ‘speculation’ is pretty cut and dry. Unless you are an eye witness, YOU are speculating. Word of mouth is not proof.bananasnblondes said:I'm sure it can be found, but ESPN or Sporting News had a "projected National Champuonship games" article like 5 years ago that predicted an Oregon/ Maryland national championship game around 2020. Maryland sucks at football. WIW.
For a school between DC and Baltimore, and close to Philly, they are an underachiever on the level of UCLA. -
If the allegations are true, how do you become a D1 coach with that behavior?
I get kids are sawft now days, but the science is settled.
Urban Meyer and Ohio State asked for the scandal of the year, then Maryland said hold my beer. -
Definitely got my tinfoil hat on for this one. Its a conspiracy to divert attention away from the Urban Meyer story. This thing has sports industrial complex all over it.

It was intentional

And, to think, Maryland dodged a bullet by passing on equipment shed master Mike Leach.

University of Maryland President Wallace D. Loh on Tuesday said the school "accepts legal and moral responsibility for the mistakes" made by its athletic training staff at a workout on May 29 that ultimately led to the death of 19-year-old offensive lineman Jordan McNair from heatstroke.

Jesus - the president of the university should be fired for opening the checkbook like that. At least let the lawyers do their jobs and negotiate a settlement.whlinder said:University of Maryland President Wallace D. McNair's family just won the lottery.
