Joseph Ngata, 5* 2019 WR, Folsom, CA (WE FUCKED THE POOCH)

Oh boy, Ruth! Just what I needed to hear. Definitely going to keep paying so I can see what these "plans" are lol. I'm a fool.
"Win some, lose some -- the coaches have back up plans -- you can bet on that :-)" -
This is borderline Romar shit. Turn down Delgado and Pittman, who wanted to come here (!!!), swing for Ngata, and we’re left with Chin. I like Taj but fuck.
This year’s class and strategy after last year’s is so fucking weird.
Oh, and Gee Scott just got offered by Florida and Florida State while in Gainesville. FML. -
I’m just really surprised with Ngata. The Hamdan and Lubick combo has to be one of the best duo offensive recruiters in college football.
-
Missing Ngata is pretty brutal. No way to lipstick that pig. Fuck. I thought he was a tap in.
Don't agree with some of the pissing and moaning though. UW doesn't NEED any jag receivers in this class. The roster has plenty of young receivers on it. We* needed Ngata as a difference maker, not because there's a lack of solid talent at the position for the foreseeable future. Pittman caliber receivers are a dime a dozen as someone mentioned. I'm totally fine with them putting all their eggs in the Ngata basket, and I'm fine if they choose to forego any more receiver recruiting for 2019 now that it failed .
What do we* need instead? Mainly some freakish physical specimens at lb and running back. Line up all of our position groups with those from Alabama, SC etc and we're starting to look comparable everywhere except at those spots. -
Well you aren't getting them at RB either. They backed off Dollars & Jones (both have since gone elsewhere) and put their eggs into the Charbonnet basket (which now resides in Ann Arbor). So they could go down the Taron Madison road again if they think they can peel him from the competition of Wazzu, Utah, and Oregon State lol. I just don't get this shit.
-
Same here. He's going to Utah.lawsandl said:

Ruth said in the last hour that UW "backed off" Chase recently. He's at Oregon's SNL camp bullshit tonight and will probably commit.FKA_Mousecop said:Basically our lone chance at a 2nd WR who’s good is if Chase ends up there and we get a different DB to fill in the class
Where the fuck did we get such huge WR dicks that make us(?) think we can just back off every talented kid? -
so much for stacking classes.
-
There are a few really good 4 star RBs in Cali we haven't even offered. It seems like our staff is operating on the basis of a 16 man class when we probably will have room for 21GaryFromTeenMom said:Well you aren't getting them at RB either. and right on cue, Ruth posts an article trying to convince everybody that UW is a legit contender for Bru McCoy lol. GTFO.

hot taek: he ends up like skinny, goes to the other side of the country, either gets hurt/doesnt play, and then transfers back to the west coast.
i dont tbs at all, but it seems like dudes that do this always end up back home.
just sayin. -
They're operating on the basis that 80% of Buelow, Vimahi, Tuitele, Wright, Fautanu, Bandes, Heimuli, Tufuno, Ika, Latu, Trice, and To'oto'o are going to want in and they need scholarships available for them. Trust the process.Neighbor2972 said:

I don't melt down like Dennis does, but this is really, really bad and is emblematic of the only real major problem that Petersen has.
To put this in a golf metaphor, this is having a 3 foot birdie putt and ending up making an 8, then running yourself over with the golf cart for good measure.
Ngata is the kind of talent that is seldom an achievable recruiting target for UW. He was more than achievable though, and he is also a solid gold OKG. And he committed to Clemson in the middle of the summer before his senior year. If this doesn't set off major alarm bells for you, then you are just in complete denial.
Hopefully it is doing so for Petersen. Because Petersen is one of the top 4-5 coaches in CFB and I want him to be massively successful at the UW. And the only thing standing in his way is his grumpy old man approach to recruiting and the image that it projects to the audience he needs to persuade. -

This sucks. Especially with Chico medically retiring.

Just wanted to share a little bit about Joe Ngata, our next great wide receiver. My brother, a huge Clemson fan like me, goes to church with him and his family. He has watched Joseph grow up over the years and can attest to the fact that this kid is a better person than he is a football player. We are getting a fine young man that we will all be proud in how he will represent our University, like we have been of so many others before him.
The Best part for me is, that he is a Tiger because of my brother and the way he represents the Clemson faithful out West. My brother told him and his family at every opportunity, how authentic Dabo is and the family environment that Clemson has. They decided it was worth checking out for themselves and Dabo & company did not disappoint. Joe’s Mom came to Church about 2 months ago, and was so excited to tell him that He would announce he was going to Clemson at the All in Cookout. The rest will be history!!!!! Thanks Brother for this one.
Go Tigers!!!!!!!

do you smellllllllllllllllalalalala what eklund.....is smokin!?
"UW didn't cool on Ngata... but people on this board had a much higher opinion of him than the coaches did/do."
diaf...and yes, he really did just say that. -
Holy shit. Have y'all seen those Clemson vlog videos. I'm a die hard Husky but damn they make being a Tiger look fun and exciting. It's not retarded ass clown shit like Oregon is doing either. It's just a real, genuine look inside what it's like to be a Clemson Tiger and their whole program from players, to coaches, to administrators have completely bought into it. Great marketing on their part. We used to at least have "The Pursuit" during the season but fuck us we don't even have that shit anymore. All we get is a couple of ridiculously choppy and short videos of the team working out and shit. We have a very tight knit team who have a lot of fun with each other and a great experience while at UW (so much so that NFL bound guys are sad to leave) but unfortunately the recruits don't get to see that. It's not that hard. At least bring back the fucking Pursuit.
-
"The Pursuit" was exactly what this program needed to keep pushing out but instead they cancel it for seven second videos with batman cut scene sound effects.
-
I think Taylor Hindy is more likely the back up plan at this point.GaryFromTeenMom said:and right on cue, Ruth posts an article trying to convince everybody that UW is a legit contender for Bru McCoy lol. GTFO.

Don't worry, everyone, recruiting will pick up once we lose to Auburn by three scores.
-
guess who?
No...nowhere did I say Davis was higher on their board. Ngata was their top target (along with Kyle Ford).
UW would have easily taken a commitment from Ngata and I think they would still take one from him, but people on here think he's the next Reggie Williams. I see a very talented and raw WR who could be good, but may never be great.
The UW coaches saw him as a guy they'd love to have in their program, but not a guy they NEEDED in their program like some on here do...that's what I was saying in that blog post. -
Did ... did ... Clemson know a week ago and masterfully troll the UW?
-
Congrats on the first post you have ever written that doesn't cause Ebola.StrongArmCobra said:Holy shit. Have y'all seen those Clemson vlog videos. It is actually good, too.

I hope each and every one of you DM and Ruth subscribers get violently sodomized to death for giving them money. Fuck you.
