It still didn't crater the economy. However it did provide health insurance to about 30 million people. Such a failure.Pitchfork51 said:
Well obamacare ruined health insurance for a large segment of the population. So yeah. It did happen.2001400ex said:

If the current admin wasn’t such a bunch of pussies they would have forced the insurers to play ball and the cost would still be fair / cost effective. Versus pocketing the lobbyists cash, letting off the insurers off the hook to decide if they want to play = cost sky rocket.
Improves the system versus tear it down.
If you think otherwise, I recommend you take a long walk, after you eat about a 1/4 of some boomers and try to change your perspective. -
20 million people who now have health insurance without paying has greatly diminished the rtest of the populations health care. Those 30 million got treated under the old system without ruining everyones health care and doubling their costs.2001400ex said:

If your costs have doubled and health Care is worse, you are shitty at life.Sledog said:

Agreed. Obamacare was a shitty bill. But it did contain some costs, did help insure a lot of people, reduced the annual increases in insurance, and created a website so insurance was more transparent with what coverage you are signing up for.DawgFader said:If the current admin wasn’t such a bunch of pussies they would have forced the insurers to play ball and the cost would still be fair / cost effective. There was/is still a ton to improve. If I had my way, we'd go Medicare for all with a private insurance option. But that won't pass even with a Democrat Congress because the insurance lobby is too strong. But Congress does need to take the best of Obamacare and create a new bill to fix everything. There are a few simple things that'll change the game, like getting rid of the coverage by county, make it State wide. -
Anyone who thinks obamacare is anything other than an abject failure is a fool.
Half the states only have one fucking insurance provider.
You can make a decent argument that it isn't Obama's or the democrats fault.
But to argue that it's good in any way is just dumb.

Da fuq? That's not even close to true. There are a few counties here and there that only have one provider. Hence why I say to get rid of the county lines.Pitchfork51 said:Anyone who thinks obamacare is anything other than an abject failure is a fool.

If they just left the medical system alone, insurance would be way higher than it is now.
