(@dnc has bestowed upon me the right to post the 10's bracket because the 10's bracket sucks)
Nas began his career with Illmatic in '94 which is generally considered to be among the greatest rap albums ever released. He's an incredible storyteller and in my opinion really popularized the idea of rap like a conversation as opposed to just spitting on a beat. His flow is complicated but he is known for his ability to compound rhyme. Nas was the first 90's rapper I ever listened to and opened my eyes to the wider world of rap and hip hop. With Life is Good in '12 being nominated for a Grammy he fits the category of most recent relevance in the 10's.

Kodak Black only recently rose to fame and is known as a massive dickhead with incredible talent. He really came onto the scene in 2016 in the XXL freshman mag then his single Tunnel Vision raised him to new heights. Most of his songs are about his criminality in the past and his decisions. He also deleted his Instagram and Twitter following backlash from comments that he preferred lightskins.

Nas (1)I want to vote against Nas because I'm voting for decade of influence but this is going to be a blowout because Kodak sucks.
-
Nas (1)great rapper, shitty actor, belly was a terribly acted movie.
-
Nas (1)Nas being placed in the 10's is one of the most questionable decisions in the entire bracket.
-
Nas (1)Nas is the greatest rapper alive and he should win the 10's in a landslide.

Is the rule that if they're a black rapper and still alive they automatically are placed in the 10's?dnc said:

Nas (1)The Illmatic was the best rap album of the 90's imo, so it feels weird voting for Nas in the 10's bracket. This should've been an exception to the rules @dnc

It Was Written didn't suck either. He was a badass 90's rapper. Unlike most of the others that came to prominence back then, he's still relevant now.NEsnake12 said:The Illmatic was the best rap album of the 90's imo, so it feels weird voting for Nas in the 10's bracket. He's a 3 or a 4 seed in the 90's (as currently constructed). Much more worthy of a 1 seed than a 3. Plus putting him here basically guarantees he makes the F4. -
Nas (1)If Nas died at 25 like Tupac and Biggie, he would be in the same tier as them. Since he lived and became mediocre (like 98% of artists), he doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Nas (1)Ilmatic is one of the GOAT albums. When did that come out again...?

Nas (1)Any Nastradamus could have predicted the outcome of this one. Nas advances 18-0.
