Let's not bury the lede here, the most highly anticipated matchup.

Gangsta rap versus party rock.

Black power versus white people.

DNC vs YellowSnow.

@Dennis_DeYoung vs @MadSon.

You know what to do.

NWA is more important the evolution of the genre and I know the words to the hits by heart.

But I'm white, slow strategy as fuck and went to UW in the mid 90's. The b-boys were the soundtrack of my college days. Is what it is.

This is the law of unintended consequences.

This is the worst first round match up of all time. BBoys aren’t a 16 ever! Second BBoys should be classified as ‘90s.

There isn't a single act ahead of them they objectively would rate ahead of.

And a) most of the Beasties biggest hits were in the 80s. Seriously, they have like two big songs post 1989 (and that's if you count Sabotage). Brassy Monkey, Fight For Your Right, Girls, No Sleep, Hey Ladies, Paul Revere are all 80's songs b) ground rules dictate they're an 80's act for these purposes.

NWA was much closer to being in the 90s bracket than the B Bois.

Well, it's early in the ball game and there's an army of alts who haven't even gotten wind of this fight.

Also, none of the bored's esteemed minorities have voted yet and all of them should be voting the right way, save probably @Mad_Son.

    It's not over for NWA!

Jesus guys, come on now. Of ALL the 16-1 you choose this to be the upset? Kodak over Nas (Nas is NOT a fucking 10's one seed @dnc, wtf)? Sure, have at it. But fuck off with this one

    Asian delegation is heard from!

Counting on Roadie to ride with NWA, at least until a potential matchup with Wu Tang.

I should have went with Beastie Boys. Much better party songs and I'm not listening to either by myself.

This should go in controversial opinions, but 80's rap is mostly boom bap garbage. Dre is also extremely overrated. Not a lot of his stuff passes the test of time.

Dre doesn't have a lot of stuff. What does he have, 3 albums and one of them was like 2 years ago? The Chronic holds up chincredibly well, IMO. 2001 had some good chit on it.

He's a legendary producer more than an emcee. And he's the GOAT producer for my money.

Lyrically NWA was more about Eazy and Cube than Dre.
I didn't want to music nerd too hard, but the G Funk rap beats are meh.

He has more stuff than the two Chronoc albums. Most people never listened because it wasn't any good.

2001 had a couple of moster hits. Solid album.
