We are a nation of faggots. I wouldn't move my guns anywhere. Fuck them. And fuck New Jersey.

    Wut?

Major Brian Polite, a spokesperson for the New Jersey State Police, told New Jersey 101.5 that the troopers conducted an investigation and determined there was no need for the weapons to be seized.

I am against taking away citizen's legally owned firearms w/o due process. BUT part of the Yella Platform is that if you have a minor who gets a hold of one of your gun's and shoots someone at school, you're just as fucking guilty and will get the death penalty. You want to own the guns great, but with that privilege comes great responsibility.

Society not guns is where the problem lies. We've had guns since their invention but did not have the type of incidents we have now. At least not with this frequency.

What's changed more society and morals or guns? Definitely society and morals. Guns have changed very little in 100 years.

That is wholly not true. Not even close. That's what a 24 hour news cycle does to your brain.

What's your position on junior getting his/her hands on your car, with our without your consent, and then killing someone through carelessness, insobriety, or god forbid, intentionally? Does your platform include the death penalty for the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) under those circumstances? What if junior uses a carving knife from your kitchen instead of a gun to accidentally or intentionally kill someone? Parent(s) or legal guardian(s) get the death penalty?

Agree, there is great responsibility that comes with owning fire arms, but the death penalty under those circumstances is going way too far IMO. That's an extremist position.
Southerndawg likes idiotic NRA talking points to support his side over facts.

For crying out loud, the death penalty part was made in jest and that should be obvious. Kitchen knives and vehicle are terrible comparisons. Last I checked we don't have a major public safety issue with minors taking their two dad's kitchen knives to school and stabbing multiple fellow students. In the case of cars, how many incidents do we have per year of non-legal driver, taking Mom and Dad's mini van out for joy ride and killing another person? In the case of their licensed 16- 18 year old driver, we have insurance and a legal process to, hopefully, make the injured party whole.

All that said, we do have a problem in this country of dumb fuck gun owners not storing their weapons properly and keeping them out of the hands of family members or whomever that shouldn't be handling them. If you don't secure you're weapon - and I'm not talking about theft by some stranger - and it gets used to kill somebody, you've fucked BIGLY up and there ought to be legal consequences. I chose to own a firearm which I keep locked up. If my ever let my sons have access to it, I'd better be so damn confident they won't fuck up that I'd stake my freedom (from prison) on it.
There are always legal consequences. Either criminal or civil.

@Sledog sure there are legal consequences but they don't seem harsh enough.

Look at this piece of shit. All he got was 2 years.

Way off topic. That guy was legally barred from possessing firearms and got some anyway.

Oregon lost the Rose Bowl after inventing college football

    Murder rate went down

    Do the math
On the positive side, parking lot rapes in Oregon have gone up every year since.
