    This is a really cool story, but irrelevant because Xi is the president of China, not a member of Congress, and China doesn't operate under the same rules as the US. Buttering up foes is a Trump staple, a strategy used to gain concessions from leaders who are vulnerable to flattery, like Kim Jong Un
