I took a pole. Turned out 81% of Americans support not working but be given a lifestyle of a billionaire. With support like that how could it be considered extreme?</blockquote

If you can provide evidence that you conducted this poll I’ll address it. Otherwise, I don’t deal in hypotheticals.

It’s actually, the same poles you quoted. The question is “if you were given a lot of stuff that you didn’t have to work for, would you like that”?

Great job taking a quote out of context. Dumbfuck.

Hugo Chavez got voted into power too. People forget that once upon a time Venezuela was a rich and thriving democracy until socialists were voted in and killed it, turning it into a quagmire of fail. Now it's a dictatorship and the rest of the details everyone here already knows.

Simple question. Why will your socialists succeed when the others before them failed without exception? How will Bernie's socialists avoid the pitfalls of their predecessors -- Lenin's socialists, Stalin's socialists, Hitler's socialists, Mao's socialists, Pol Pot's socialists, Chavez's socialists, Fidel's socialists?

    Because we’re not socialists.

I believe you when you say that you aren't a socialist. I believe that, because you explained it in another thread. I just don't believe that the leadership of the socialist movement has good intentions, or shares your version of patriotism. Even you acknowledged that there is going to be a problem with millennials when it comes to issues like free speech and fucking with the constitution.

If I honestly thought that’s where this was heading I would not support it. I do understand your concern, I don’t think it’s crazy. If it does become a real issue I’ll stand next to you to fight it.

If you don't want border security or enforcement you don't want America to control who comes here or stays

If calling that open borders bothers you Ill just call it this

Because the left is on record supporting it. I didn't really need to discover anything.

The fact that it's unpopular was my point about dancing all around it like hondo does

    Be better

She is talking about the economy. It's the same thing when someone says about a professional services firm that we "have an office without walls." That doesn't mean anyone can work at the firm, there are still qualifications necessary to be employed. But people have the freedom to do thier business where they want.

She's talking about a global approach without tariffs and such, businesses free to do business where they want. You can disagree with that point. As I don't agree we should have a 100% free global market. But I also don't agree with tariffs and stuff that Trump is implementing.

A Federal judge denied trump’s effort to halt California Sanctuary State laws yesterday. There’s zero tolerance for trump’s bullshit here. Good luck with your “enforcement.”

I’ve got your back today if you need it. Drink plenty of fluids, use sunscreen and limit outdoor activity if you can. How’s that?

Temperature in Pasadena right now is 113. Can only imagine what Riverside is like.

Shit, what's the Pasadena record? You need to get down to Laguna where its a chilly 92 at the beach. Riverside is 117 at the moment.

It’s the July 6 record. Not sure regarding all time.

I should be in Laguna! I’d ask for address and best time to arrive, but I saw how futilely that worked out for @Baseman in another thread so I’ll assume I’d be turned away as well.
