I love how Woodward also wrote himself a poison pill in the contract. Two bonus years for Petersen if Woodward is no longer the AD.

Like Woody gives a shit. It doesn't matter what language is in the contract. If Petersen fails Woody is ass.door.out, and the new AD will have to deal with it. Woody knows this. So he did whatever he could to get Petersen in Seattle, to save his job. For once, Woody actually made an intelligent move.
Let's be honest, if pigs grow wings and Petersen flops, it doesn't matter what's in the contract, UW is fucked regardless for a very long time. -

Petersen isn't an idiot. He's leaving a lifetime safe job for the clusterfuck that is UW football. Woody did what had to be done to land him. He isn't going to get fired in less than 4 years anyway.
