Who will win the 2018 Tani Tupou "Why is he still on the...Holy Crap!" Award?

Quite a few seniors to choose from this year. I'd love for one of the OL to blow up this year, especially with Coleman Shelton gone, but it seems unlikely at this point. String? might be a good choice to fill in after Vea.
My bet is on Chico. I think Bush will use our WR more effectively than Smiff ever did, and kinda have the "Tedford effect" that we had in 2016.

Chico shouldn't even be eligible. Pick someone who has done nothing.

I want more than anything for it to be Matt James because our OL sucks and will hold us back this year, but that will literally never happen.
Realistically...Shane Bowman, maybe? If Jaylen Johnson can stay healthy all season he'll finally the huge year we know he can have. -
Hopefully Jake Browning

One of the greatest getting even better is what I mean

Bowman or an OL.

Henry Roberts. He was getting a lot of action and praise in spring ball, hopefully that finally translates to in-game success
-
BBK, not getting dragged for 3 additional yards. That would make us all say holy crap.

Vitamin packs Bowman

I’m gonna say Mike Neal because I just looked at the 2018 roster and was shocked to find out he is still on the team.

I was watching some garbage time footage from last year trying to see how our second tier guys were doing toward the end of the year.justthrowitinthebag said:I want more than anything for it to be Matt James because our OL sucks and will hold us back this year, but that will literally never happen.

I saw Matt James do a couple things and I was like “oh wow” - and went back and watched both plays more closely only to realize it hadn’t been James on either play actually.
To this point though, that’s been the high point of his career at UW for me. -

Kyler Manu! He will be starting buck at the end of the year!

Peyton will need a lot more than a monster 5th year to compete with Jake!GaryFromTeenMom said: -
myles rice, isn't he like 6th year senior? at some point he will get good right?

He'll be like 28 by the time he actually is a senior, then he'll play. It's called the BYU strategy.WeakarmCobra said:myles rice, isn't he like 6th year senior? at some point he will get good right?

Yeah, is he ever in uniform though?WeakarmCobra said:myles rice, isn't he like 6th year senior? at some point he will get good right?

Bump.
Guessing it's BBK this year. 155 tackles, leads the team in INTs, FF, and FR. -
Not sure he really counts, I don't think anyone was saying he didn't actually belong on the team, just that he didn't belong as a starter.whatshouldicareabout said:Bump.

We? were obviously very wrong. Dude's a badass. -

Amandre Williams for selling the couch midseason

Good to see that none of us could forecast for shit. But Hilbers is 100% this year’s winner.

Great call. He looks like an actual nfl prospect. He still lacks the upper body power. Hopefully, one more year of weight room will do him gooddawgs206 said:Jared Hilbers
