Socha and Ivan

Is Socha above criticism? 2017 team had TONS of injuries. Now Hunter Bryant is gone for the year...why was a helmet shot from a UCLA DB a 20 month injury?
If the team gets crippled again this year, is criticism of Socha justified?

Not sure if serious.
The Bryant injury should've been surgically addressed in October. I blame the medical staff for that, not Socha. -
Injuries are always going to happen. When Ivan was here everyone had shoulder issues for example. For the most part there have not been too many trends and we have been a healthy team overall.BaldwinIV said:Ivan was bashed for being a dumb meathead who sold pyramid scheme products. Sark thought him appropriate to run S&C at a major D1 program (to horrifying results).

Yes "injuries are part of the game" thanks John Madden. I'm talking about disproportional injuries in relation to other teams.
The team was not healthy last year. One of the most injured teams in the conference. 4 WRS, LT, QB (still...how?), 3 LBs, both starting DBs, Gaines all year etc etc. Victor came back 100 times fatter and out of shape. What are we doing?AtomicDawg said:

Classic confirmation bias
We? don't follow injuries to other teams that close except for USC and Ivan -
It's a fair question, but wholly chinconclusive at this point. If we have another two seasons of 2017 level injuries, then yeah.

IIRC, wasn’t UW one of the healthiest teams in the country in 2016? Socha was still the S&C coach then. So you’re suggesting that year he was amazing at keeping them healthy but suddenly forgot how the next year?
Or.... catestrophic injuries are difficult to predict.
Two rolled up ankles that led to severe breaks, a giant lunging to make a block and his ACL blows, helmet to the knee that forces it backwards and tears the ACL, etc.
The issue with Ivan is that he treats his players as powerlifters for strongman competitions that causes injuries in the weight room or over straining and weakness that causes non contact injuries during the game.
Or I’m completely full of shit.
Either way Body by Ivan fucking sucks and Socha is a motherfucking God and you will never speak ill of him again! -
Socha has a Master's in exercise physiology. Ivan has a Master's in leadership studies (wtf?) and likely hypogonadism.
He basically showed up at Mt. Si High School with a bunch of hypodermic needles and they were too scared to ask him to leave.
That's the basis of his entire career as a strength coach. Just kidding. He took an online exam, so he's totally legit. -
Dude no team is going to be almost all healthy every year, it's a contact gayme. 2016 was an aberration. But, so far their have been no trends of continually the same type of injuries. Ivan it's shoulders and backs.
