    It may not have been mandatory to separate the Kids but in a link earlier poasted, it was done at least as far back as 06/14.

    I can get all the Taco Bell I need north of the border and America is probably approaching 40% latino already, so the food & bitches argument doesn't really cut it. I like for it to rain more than twice a year too.

    Immigrants have used children as leverage for decades to try and gain favor with immigration. It used to be single males predominately trying to sneak into the country. Since then, they've gotten smart and realized that they had a better chance if they brought their pregnant spouse and young children with them. Separating the child from the parents is a cruel but effective way of deterring illegal crossings.

    Because all illegal immigrants are refugees? If some of these people are not skilled enough to succeed in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, how do you think they can contribute here? The Venezuelan people I have no problem with granting asylum. That country is turning into a pile of shit, but they need to do it legally and we definitely need to cap the numbers we take.
