Not sure whether GSW deserved to win but sure as fuck D'Antoni deserved to lose.
-
legitimately mad
warriors represent everything that is wrong w/ the nba
and the world -
Roockets are fucking pathetic. Go Lebron.
-
Swaggy P wins the post-game.
"Didn't really want to get interviewed. Want to go get turnt up".

We got the team we want to beat
-
Gives LeBron a chance to take the throne rather easily. That said, the Cavs aren’t going to be able to stop GS.RaceBannon said:We got the team we want to beat

Will the LeBron haters concede GOAT status if he pulls it off, or will the Trump card be 6>4?
I really don't see him doing it, but damn if he did... -
He's got as good of odds as Trump did at the election. I like our chances.Doogles said:Will the LeBron haters concede GOAT status if he pulls it off, or will the Trump card be 6>4?

MJ is still the GOAT but Lebron beating this GS team would put him in the discussion with Kobe.
-
lol imagine if lebron pulled a miracle out of his ass and pulled it off. the chances are 1 in 10,000. people will use losing this finals against that warriors team against him. maddening.RoadDawg55 said:

What he can do on the court is extremely impressive ... I was more frustrated during the game at Boston really rushing what they were doing and quite possibly trying too hard to winRoadDawg55 said:Teq, did you enjoy the LeBron takeover?

Hate is probably a poor choice of words by meHorrifyinglyAlluring said:teq - why do you "hate" (your words) lebron? i can see not ranking him #1 or even #2 due to super high standards or really simplistic ones (like finals records and nothing else), but hate? honest question.
As a player, he’s an insane talent but I don’t personally like how he structures his teams as it puts too much of the burden on him. It leads to a narrative that when things aren’t working it’s that he doesn’t have enough help and when he does win it’s how great he is and he’s winning despite his team.
As a person, I respect what he has done in the Akron community. I was never fond of how he left Cleveland ... not that he left though. I don’t like that he has established a trend of coming in, getting organizations to sell out for him for 4 years, and then leaves the organization in a tough spot. And I think he has a lot of people that shield him from responsibility when things go wrong on the court. -
In my mind it likely starts to tilt the argument past Magic ... Kareem is still an interesting case but I think it’s probably a good debate. Still don’t put him ahead of Russell or MJDoogles said:Will the LeBron haters concede GOAT status if he pulls it off, or will the Trump card be 6>4?

There's almost zero chance but yes the debate would end.Doogles said:Will the LeBron haters concede GOAT status if he pulls it off, or will the Trump card be 6>4?

The warriors and Cavs might have as many sequels as American Pie

I love you man. Wait, dot?Dennis_DeYoung said:Check that. The Rockets have an Indian guy in the front row. I’m now team Rockets.
-
Took a walk for some perspective. The Rockets lost because they missed 27 3's in a row. Golden State needed all the help they could get though, the Rockets lost more than they won.
-
The Rockets and the Celtics combined 3 point shooting in game 7 was 14 for 83. Fucking pathetic!!
-
It’s as if there is a difference between good and bad 3’s
-
While the Rockets were missing 27 straight the Warriors went 13 for 23
The juxtaposition of the Rockets throwing bricks and Steph lighting it up was striking
I hadn't seen so many bricks since Brad Stevens played in the Final Four. Or Brad Stevens in Game 7 Saturday
Whats the deal with Stevens and masonry?
Put another brick in the wall.
Cavs in 7. -
For those of you that think that this is even a good era for the NBA, seek a fucking labotomy. Stat. All it is now, is a 3 pt shooting contest. And when a team can’t hit those. There is no plan B as exhibited by Boston and Houston. Fuck even Golden State plays shit offense. They just have 2 guys that can make any shot when they are on.
The 80s-90s NBA was exciting and as good as it gets. There’s little exciting about the NBA now sans when Curry gets hot. -

Jerry Schicting and Danny Ainge couldn't play in the developmental league today
The NBA has always had a one or two good teams at a time and everyone else sucks
No different today -
Houston was working GS inside with Capela. Then GS made a couple buckets in a row in the 3rd, the Roockets panicked, and just started chucking up bricks in desperation even though the game was close. Which led to the game not being close and the Warriors winning rather easily.
-
This is halfway right. They had to start chucking 3's after going to the rim was basically turned into a suicide attempt with the whistles in the pockets. Problem is they didnt make any of them. If they hit 4 out of the 27 they missed, they win the game.CuntWaffle said:Houston was working GS inside with Capela. But Ainge????
And if it wasn't for LeBron you wouldnt be watching now and you know it.
Put away your hate of all things Oregon for once before hitting send. -
Fucking advanced stats guy weighs in.jhfstyle24 said:Tequilla the reason you are FS for that is because does this Cavs roster, based on the way they played this year, do jack shit?
PG: George Hill
SG: JR Smith
SF: Jeff Green
PF: Kevin Love
C: Tristan Thompson
Let's go look at basketball reference.
The ONLY players on that ENTIRE fucking team outside of LeBron who had more than a minute positive BPM were Larry Nance (2.6) and Kevin Love (1.3). Korver and Zizic did a little bit.
For reference, the PHOENIX FUCKING SUNS had FOUR of those players - Derrick Jones, Greg Monroe, Alex Len, and Devin Booker.
Let's look at the playoffs. In the playoffs, the Cavs had 3 players with positive BPM - LeBron, Nance, and Korver.
I'm sorry, but a team where your best player is Larry fucking Nance is winning 20 games maximum. Playoff Kevin Love has been one of the worst players in the league (-3 BPM). The Cavs starting lineup shown above has ONE positive player from the playoffs: Tristan Thompson.
If you think that team clears 25 wins, fuck off. The Cavs without LeBron are statistically the worst team in the entire fucking NBA by a good amount. That's why it is impressive.
If LeBron's supporting cast sucks, one only has to look at one person as to why. LeBron did what He was supposed to do, get to the NBA Finals. This year has certainly been his most impressive playoff run. But Cleveland, at LeBron's request, revamped the roster twice since last years NBA Finals. So if they suck.... It's all his fault. -
The Rockets shot 42 3's a game. I'm guessing a review of any one of their 60+ wins wouldn't meet your definition.Tequilla said:It’s as if there is a difference between good and bad 3’s
