7'6 123? Is he on his deathbed from undernourishment?
-
My wife teaches at his school and I've seen him play. Some good footwork, fiery kid, lacks p5 lateral quickness though and is severely underweight. Rumors of an eating disorder.
-
If he is a scholly player burn the fucking program down.

I may have used some hyperboleBaldwinIV said:7'6 123? Is he on his deathbed from undernourishment?

This kid is a project but he does have good footwork and is pretty coordinated for being a 7-3 stick. If we get 1 good year out of this guy I'll be happy but I'm not expecting much.HorrifyinglyAlluring said:My wife teaches at his school and I've seen him play. He'll just be the 7"3 version of Greg fucking Bowman. He's a stiff that has no skill. He sucks. Kid is a mediocre D2 player. He won't see the court. If he's a scholly player he's basically a shitastic Kyler Manu.ToddTurnerLIVES said:

looks like white yao ming.

I don't disagree but I do have a sliver of hope after seeing what happened with Sam Timmins. The guy has some physical tools to work with but it most likely won't amount to anything.backthepack said:

What about Timmins? In the OOC he flashed improvement then reverted back to his shit self IIRC. Maybe I am misremembering?ToddTurnerLIVES said:

I'm not saying Timmins is great but he improved from being a liability to being a serviceable Pac 12 player. Carter, Wright and Dominic Green are better players and deserve more minutes so Timmins sat.BaldwinIV said:

I think this kids ceiling is "serviceable Pac 12 player" and a potential mismatch as a 7-3 guy if he can get any sort of competent post/mid-range game going. He's a walk on so who gives a shit. -
Timmins at least has some lateral mobility (still shit). This kid has none. Timmins also doesn't look like he purges himself after every fucking meal.ToddTurnerLIVES said:

Sorn is a shitty prospect. Timmins was a better but still shitty prospect. Both suck. Sark> Ty

I saw him firsthand in the championship game, while waiting for Woodinville to play. Not much skill, alarmingly tall and thin. I actually felt bad for him having to go through life like that. But there are worse fates, I told myself.
-
It'll be pretty entertaining seeing him get some minutes in blowouts.

Richland didn’t make it to the championship. They lost to Gonzaga Prep and Lewis & Clark.DerekJohnson said:I saw him firsthand in the championship game, while waiting for Woodinville to play. Sorn got worked in both games.
Unless you're talking about Woodinville in the championship game - and they got worked too.

It has to be a horrible experience to be 7’3” and not play in the NBA. That’s too tall.DerekJohnson said:I saw him firsthand in the championship game, while waiting for Woodinville to play. He's a walk-on and will probably not see the court except for the occasional blow out loss.

I was there all day so that must have been the third place game.PurpleThrobber said:

As I've stated before, no one plays all 13 scholarship players. If Hop is smart he'll get Sorn on the Gonzaga redshirt post player steroid lifting program and hope he contributes in 3 years. He was why Richland was in the semi's and almost beat Gonzaga Prep. His height will be beneficial in practice for the guys who will get the majority or all of the PT. This kid is a 7'3 Hans Gasser. -
Nothing like getting solid practice experience against a 7’3” statue. I’m sure that will help prep them for guys like Kenny Wooten and bol bol. This kid is 7’3” and couldn’t average double digit rebounds in fucking high school. Give me a break...huskyhooligan said:

Hans Gasser was at least 230 pounds, even Bol Bol has this guy by 5 pounds. Priority number one should be to put this kid on a McDonald’s quarter pounder diet to gain at least 15 pounds. Because being slow and soft isn’t helping anybody. -
You related to Hans? Why so upset about someone who barely cracked the lineup until his senior year? I don't think anyone was saying he was going to be Bol Bol, whooooooooooo also averaged less rebounds and less blocks than Sorn. I'll admit Bol was playing much better competition. But 7'3 and not double digits? Whats the problem?greenblood said:

High school stats are fucking meaningless. Fun Fact: Jason Terry was not the leading scorer for Franklin in 1995. He however developed into a scorer after 3 years at Arizona.
Again, let me be clear: he's a fucking project and even if he is on scholarship, will only impact the rotation if there is severe foul trouble.

Regarding Bol Bol, he plays a lot on the perimeter. That alone will cut down the rebound totals. Sorn has trouble outside of 5 feet.huskyhooligan said:

I'm sure this kid is nice and all, but it takes one look to know he's not going to be anything more than a practice guy. If he weren't as tall as he is he'd be a computer science major and working for Amazon in 4 years.

Fuck, anyone got a razor?

Isn’t this the Kid that the stud GPrep Football player was abusing in the State Playoffs???

if he's 123 pounds now, hopefully Hop can get him to at least 130-135huskyhooligan said:
