Looks familiar, South of SB 45 minutes or so?

The guy in Sacramento thinks Newport Beach looks like Oxnard. Honest mistake.
Lived in SB for 6 years, it looked like the Ventura Pier.
Never really made it to OC in my time down there.
All piers pretty much look the same except for @BearsWiin 's pier...it's got some sunken ship at the end of it or something.

Last year's winter storms tore the hell out of the Palo Alto. Doesn't look like that anymore. Wife and Walk the dogs on that part of the beach at least once a week.

Well, that's clearly something special - because that sunken ship is above the water.

So, like, a floating sunken ship.

Secession Dawg gets it. He's Laguna Beach superiority guy.
Southern Orange County is amazing. No place better.

Queer central down there. But then that explains a lot.

It is. Still, Laguna Beach, Dana Point, Newport Beach, are all pretty speshial in certain ways.

Sad. Apparently back in the 1930s they used to do parties and events out on the Palo Alto after is was freshly sunk.

They made the decision many decades ago to let it deteriorate naturally and become something for the local fishies and birds to enjoy.

This area was developed in the 1920's as a playground for Bay Area Rich Folk, and the Depression hit it hard. Lots of stuff was shelved, and by the time people had money to spend here again, things like the Palo Alto were beyond saving. Now it's just a place for sharks to laze around while the local Junior Guards swim among them.
