San Francisco's downtown area is more contaminated with drug needles, garbage, and feces than some of the world's poorest slums

San Francisco is wallowing in poverty. It takes millions of dollars, education and skills to survive there. You should stay away.

San Francisco is a trumpian nightmare: Tangible wealth and success; Highly educated and skilled; incredibly competitive.

I’m hearing Salem is a comfortable place for those of your “capabilities.”

You should stay out of California. You wouldn’t like it. Best.

I live in a 1 BR on Leavenworth and Sutter. SF is indeed a shithole. It's also blow-your-balls-off-amazing. And terrible. I will tire out at some point but

California is the greatest place on earth. It’s not for everyone. Only highly competitive, successful people. High risk and high reward, but you need to be educated and skilled.

Earlier this week, the LA Times reminded its readers that California has the highest poverty rate in the nation. Specifically, when using the Census Bureau's most recent" Supplemental Poverty Measure" (SPM), California clocks in with a poverty rate of 20 percent, which places it as worst in the nation.

SF is nice for the three day visit. Then it’s time to GTFO of there.

    Same with Seattle.

Portland is good for a day.

Only decent place left on the West Coast is Tacoma. Many women you’d want your daughter to marry. Lots of lunch pails. Earnest hard working folks. J, too.

Eugene is like a miniature San Francisco, so it definitely could be. Reason# 438 of why I choose not to live there.

In Eugene, we call that the Saturday market.

Only one I know that wants to build a wall is trump. There’s no barrier to entry into California. You do realize that winners win don’t you? Good luck.

San Francisco is simultaneously beautiful and a total shithole depending on what block youre on, but my personal job market is unrivaled here. Moving isn't worth it for people in tech, even with out of control costs.

Yes, and it's Democrat dominated. Democrats care about income inequality and the middle class. Oh wait..no, they don't.
