The men will be taking on Brooke's Rowing Club (elite Oxford team with a lot of Olympians in training) while the ladies race the Dutch National Team. Sadly the Dutch National field hockey team will not be making the trip.

There is a definitely a higher percentage of chubby in the sport vs soccer, volleyball, hoops, etc. This percentage decreases on the more elite teams with the best and most fit athletes. In my day, we had a few six foot girls who were north of 2 bills which should just never happen. That's just lazy and bad nutrition.salemcoog said:

So for our non UW folks and/or former Seattleites, Windermere Cup / Opening Day is a joint production between UW and the Seattle Yacht Club to celebrate the opening of yachting season. Basically they set up two log booms out on Union Bay past Husky Stadium and everyone docks their yachts for a few days and gets really hammered. Windermere sponsors the thing so UW can invite a few different national teams each year. After about 2 hours of row boat racing, they have a big yacht parade. Lather, rinse, repeat for about 50 years now.
