Kim was not the problem in North Korea, it was the Korean Peoples Army, the ruling elite of NK. Each new Kim was forced to prove to the KPA that he has the balls to continue the mafia style rackateering. The KPA's lavish lifestyle depended on the NK leader to engage in endless brinksmanship. Trump seems to be getting alot of mileage out of doing things the way that they "just aren't done".
