Absolutely yesThis was my second to Mora. Helluva second. He's got 15 games before I start to spell his name wrong... if needed.
-
Absolutely yesStill, 15 games. Get this shit done or door ass out.
-
Absolutely yesBut with the talent on this roster + next year's OOC schedule, minimum standards should be 10+ wins.
-
Yes, but there's a limit to my patienceI love the hire, but I need to see it play out on the field before I'm 100% sold
-
Absolutely yesBest thing about the Petersen hire is it brings back expectations. I doubt fans will settle for three straight 7-6 seasons with him.
-
Absolutely yesNot glamorous, but very, very solid. As much as I wanted Mora, I think Petersen may do better in today's cultural climate at UW.
May become a lot of fun having UW and UCLA compete regularly in conference title games.
Been much fucking everyone on these boards this week, so I say fuck Oregon, fuck Stanford, fuck ASU.
Edit: no need to fuck USC. They fucked themselves. -
Yes, but there's a limit to my patienceI would be in the Absolutely camp had he not been bested by Skip Sarkisian for the Retake Montlake Championship.
That being said, had he won that game its possible we would still be with Skip and he would not have wanted this job.

Absolutely yesPool Boy seems to be...

Absolutely yes
DNCs point from a couple days ago still stands. Owentwelve excuses are gone. Everyone agrees that Sark left UW in good shape. And Peterson having won big before brings expectations.He_Needs_More_Time said:Best thing about the Petersen hire is it brings back expectations. Absolutely yes19 minutes into the poll, the yes votes outnumber the no votes 26-0.
And Grinolds said we would be miserable and bitter no matter who the coach was... -
Absolutely yesYep. It's a splash hire. Woody needed to prove he could make one. Perception matters and the perception outside of this place is that this was a no doubter home run. Seems the perception inside this place, and this includes me, is that it was a double down the line that scored guys from first and third and beat the Yanks. No World Series yet but there's a chance.
Yep, Marinerization is alive and well! -
Absolutely yes

Instead it's Kim who is acting miserable and bitter. You can't make this shit up.DerekJohnson said:19 minutes into the poll, the yes votes outnumber the no votes 26-0.

Absolutely yesI wanted Saban!!!!
-
Yes, but there's a limit to my patienceFrom a noob perspective - this seems like a good hire. Before A&M picked up Sumlin the Aggie fan-base thought he would be great there. He qualifies as a "splash" hire given all the other jobs he's passed up. I'm eager to see how he will fare in stiffer competition. Giggity.

Yes, but there's a limit to my patienceYes, I am satisified but I passed up on the absolutely moniker because that would require a Saban-eqsue hire. CCCP is a second tier hire in my eyes, but still above an acceptable threshold. I think he is someone who has a decent shot at being able to get the job done.

UW is finally equipped. Just kidding, I'd rather have the good football here in the state. Especially after conversing with that fag PDXduck. Apple cups might actually mean some shit again.
-
Yes, but there's a limit to my patienceHe was my solid second choice behind Nuss
-
Absolutely yes36 minutes into the poll, the yes votes outnumber the no votes 41-0...
(which was the same score Stanford beat UW by in 2010 when Sark guaranteed an undefeated season at home.) -
Yes, but there's a limit to my patienceI really like the hire, probably the best move Woodward could have made. But, I expect to see results, and until that happens, I'm still in somewhat of a LIPO mode.
Props to Woodward though, he got it done and hired a big time coach. Between getting the stadium and facilities upgrade, and now this hire, he deserves a lot of respect from Husky Nation. -
Yes, but there's a limit to my patienceI know he can coach players and coaches up . Can he get the really great players ... The difference makers?
I am definitely happy ... Lets do this!!
FYFMFE!!! -
Absolutely yesThe yes options are basically the same. I am thrilled with the hire because it's not Nuss or some other dumb fuck but rather a coach who other teams would want and respect.
If he loses though, I will turn on him quick. 10 wins is the bare minimum for next season, 11+ for the season to be considered a real success. So there is a limit to my patience, but right now, I am going to doog it up. Unless you are one of the true fans from doogman, you don't get these opportunities very often as a Husky fan. -
Yes, but there's a limit to my patienceI was ready to take one in the stinkle for pinkel

Absolutely yesI agree, if Peteresen can't win anything substantial in 2 years then Door.Ass.Out. But I have a good feeling about Petersen, he has everything you want on a track record. BCS bowl wins (2 for 2, should have been in a 3rd), great conference record (yea shitty conference but he also didn't have amazing recruits), and the ability to beat big teams on the road.
He consistently gets 2/3 star recruits into the NFL. Imagine what he could do with constant 4 star recruits with a 5 star sprinkled in every now and then.
His recruiting is the biggest ??? but with his credentials and the new stadium/facilities he shouldn't have any issues. Especially if Tosh is still around. -
NoThe Energetic Dirk Koetter:
26-10 at BS
40-34 at ASU

The Zen Master Dan Hawkins:
53-11 at BS
19-39 at Colorado

The Disciplinarian Chris Petersen:
92-12 at BS
lathering...

Chris is walking into a better situation than the first 2 guys. So we should expect to win.
I'd rather have had a hire who proved himself at 2 different schools first. Urban Meyer...Bryan Kelly are 2 recent examples of what I'm talking about. -
Absolutely yesI think it will be nice to see a well coached team for once. We haven't had that in decades. Even under Slick Rick the team was more like Carroll's Seahawks where you have sloppy penalties.
If Petersen goes 7-6 or 8-5 next year I'll turn on him quickly.
I think with our schedule I could see a 10-3 or 11-2 type of regular season.
I think this hire just laughs at the Doogs who always said to us "Well if you fire Sark who is going to come here?! WHO?!!" -
Absolutely yesAlways a limit to patience though.
