    I have to say I'm emphatically with Swaye on this one. Gasoline in a Styrofoam cup right down the gullet before listening to U2.

    Bono is literally the biggest piece of shit, but unfortunately as my ancestors were Irish and my avatar is a direct homage to that fuck, I have to honor U2 with this vote.

    Stylistically, I am much more aligned with the Black Crowes and their influences- i.e., Stones, Faces, LZ, Allman Bros, etc. BUT U2 were a far more important and chinfluential band. Love 'em or hate 'em, Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby were 2 of the greatest albums of the of that era.
