Give Radiohead another chance.dnc said:
When I lived in Oklahoma I was surrounded by hipsters who sucked Thom Yorke's cockus nonstop so I'm probably biased against them but I'll take Muse, Oasis, Blur, Travis and even (NTTAWWT) Coldplay over Radiohead in the post Kurt, british invasion division. But I recognize they're influential as hell and worthy of their iconic status. I just don't think I'll ever be able to stomach them.RoadDawg55 said:
Radiohead is slightly ahead for me, but Bellamy is a true showman. Hell of a band.dnc said:
HR, YKBleachedAnusDawg said:How in the fuck can you have a list that includes bands up to the present and not include Muse?
Best rock band in the world right now. Probably the best post Cobain.
Agreed on Bellamy as a showman. Wolstenholme is a pretty badass bass player too. Their range is what really impresses me, they hit a lot of genres, and all of them very well. -
Listen to Starlight and Stockholm Syndrome.dnc said:Has their been a sexier song than this in the last 20 years?

When the same band can do that, and Hysteria, and Uprising, and Supermassive Blackhole, they're pretty badass. Modern rock Queen. I know, I'm gushing like a fucking fanboy. But I think they're highly underrated. -
Starlight is my old roommate's favorite Muse song. Good chit, probably not in my top 10 favorites of theirs.RoadDawg55 said:

Stockholm Syndrome is badass.
But again, chinsane that the same band made both those songs. Serious musical range. -

Maybe the Temptations, Dionne Warwick, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Prince? Where the fuck is Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams, or Johnny fucking Cash? Whole fucking genres of music are unfucking represented here. Enough with the middle aged white guy classic rock, please -
Eat shit train boy. I left off infinity times infinity of my favorite bands/artists. Did you see your fellow Claremont Colleges bro Frank Zappa included in the seedings? Nope.AZDuck said:Bands that faggot hollow man @YellowSnow neglected to include:

@YellowSnow
Sure, but you left off too many genres and time periods, and focused mostly on classic rock.
I'd have liked some more R&B, hip hop, blues (which the Rolling Stones fucking stole), reggae, ska, punk, new wave, country, and electronica. All of these are completely unrepresented. -
Read the OP on page 1, @AZDuck . This BOTB was rock artists from the 1960s to the present only. We'll cover all of the other genres in future BOTB. We can argue about the rock seedings all day long, of course.AZDuck said:@YellowSnow

Can you read? Look at the instruction pinned. All the other genres coming later. This is ROCK FFS.AZDuck said:@YellowSnow

@Swaye @dnc @YellowSnow
this bored is gay and your all fags
"battle of the bands" sucks with just old white guy music from the 1970's. Another off-season is too long. I will probably be dead of a drug overdose after watching Cristal Ballzdeep lead my Ducks to the Las Vegas Bowel again this season.https://youtu.be/kTs_Q4hEqmA

Winehouse was one the most grossly overrated musicians ever. Early Fiona Apple knocks her out in the first round.
-
Where was Traffic in the 60s bracket? Fuck yella snow.
-
Where was Dire Straits in the late 70s to mid 80s? Damn it.
-
Ok, so all of the Round 1 Games have been poasted. Polls will close on Sunday at midnight and I will poast the Round of 32 matchup on Monday AM time permitting.
If there are any ties as President Pro Tempore of this shitty bored, I can break the deadlock (fuck off constitutional scholars - YNW) or DM Pumpy. -
No Boston, Benatar, or Heart, fuck all y'all and you're worthless pole

That's dumb. These artists weren't even on the bubble.BearsWiin said:No Boston, Benatar, or Heart, fuck all y'all and you're worthless pole
