Update on Gaines' injury

Redshirt freshman Joe Tryon, the No. 3 Buck linebacker, continued his solid spring with a leaping interception off a Jake Browning pass and returning it some 30 yards for a touchdown. Browning was throwing a screen pass toward the middle of the line of scrimmage; the 6-foot-5 Tryon read it perfectly and stepped in front of the pass.

Fucking try hards getting touch sacks... fucking enrages me.
-
Double shit post, fuck have you guys seen pictures of Troyn? He looks like a beast, i hope he plays as good as he looks
-
— Two plays later, Ryan Bowman and Ben Burr-Kirven combined on a touch sack of Browning.
It's hard to fathom all that try-hard in the same place, at the same time... -
Meet your starting SAM. By midseason, anyway.
-
I don’t have a problem with Ryan, since he is not eating up a scholarship.DawgWagonDan said:— Two plays later, Ryan Bowman and Ben Burr-Kirven combined on a touch sack of Browning.

Those are two of our more productive players on defense, but what do I know? I only watch the games.DawgWagonDan said:— Two plays later, Ryan Bowman and Ben Burr-Kirven combined on a touch sack of Browning.

I know you have genetic inclination to bring in math into this equitation, but dude we know on good team they are servicecale back ups (i am not saying they should not be on the team) but I dont think they should be full time starters.RoadDawg55 said:

— First, an update on senior DT Greg Gaines. Last Wednesday, the senior defensive tackle sustained a minor knee injury in practice. Recall that Gaines was limited late in the 2017 season after sustaining a torn posterior cruciate ligament in his knee in late October. Now Gaines has been shut down for the remainder of spring, but I’m told this new injury is not expected to linger into fall camp come August. Some good news there. -

Told you so! -
They are both productive, gritty players...I appreciate both of them, but that doesn't take away their try-hardness. Those two meeting Browning in the backfield is a dam try-hard convention. They'll all three be great High School football coaches one day.RoadDawg55 said:

According to Jood, he is eating up a scholarship. Earned one after last year ala Myles Bryant.WeakarmCobra said:

If Bowman was a 4 star out of high school, guys like you would be yanking off to a good freshman season. I’m expecting a big season from him.DoogCourics said:

That would probably mean that he was athletic and a potential nfl prospect down the roadRoadDawg55 said:

Ryan Bowman very well could have a great season, but if he can't get do anything against the three good teams we play every year then we're still fucked. Putting up double digit sacks against shit teams is fine, but we were going to win those games anyway.
If he walks into Atlanta and gets 2 sacks and a forced fumble then we'll love him. -
Fuck the NFL Draft. Ryan Bowman is a good player. He will never be a Von Miller or a Myles Garrett. But he is a fast pass rusher specialist who got 5.5 sacks during his redshirt freshman as a WALK-ON. He won't leave early for the draft, has 3 more full seasons to play and will get bigger and faster. His ceiling will never be a first round draft pick, but he will turn into a fuckin' good football player.
If you're shitting on Bowman during after his redshirt freshman season you might as well shit on Levi O. and Amandre and Kizer. Those players will evolve. Bowman will also.
I imagine some poasters just have a picture of DDY on their house and jerk off when he notices them. "OH, DDY noticed me! Better regurgitate more things he said at pods so he thinks I'm funny and entertaining and he invites me to the pod *hearts*".
hell on earth -
He’s played one season and I’m sure you love tons of past Husky players that underwhelmed against good competition. I remember Danny Shelton doing most his damage against shit teams.Neighbor2972 said:Ryan Bowman very well could have a great season, but if he can't get do anything against the three good teams we play every year then we're still fucked. I like Bowman. He was good last year as a pass rusher.

This. Bowman impressed me way more than Levi did. I'm not saying Bowman is better than Levi so don't twist, but he played well last year and to think he can't get better this year just because he is white and a walk on is fucking stupid. Recruiting obviously matters and if you were to bank on a bunch of walk ons breaking out because recruiting was so bad I get that. OUR DL depth last year wasn't exactly shitty and Bowman was able to work his way into serious playing time and be a contributor.BlastDoor said:Fuck the NFL Draft. Ryan Bowman is a good player. Oh fuck off. I swear some of you idiots are more concerned about fielding an all-looker team instead of one that actually gets shit done. Remember who caught the game winning touchdown in the 2017 national championship game? You think Clemson cared that it was a little white midget walk-on who was getting all the glory for that win?DoogCourics said:

I guess I worded that poorly, I love all our players including Bowman. And I think Bowman is a really good player, I just don't think he's the 'answer' to our lack of an edge rush in important games.RoadDawg55 said:
