Who’s the most under-appreciated player on the UW Huskies roster? That would be QB Jake Browning

"I recognize even more that in today’s world of anonymous armchair rip-job cowboys on message boards, article comment sections, and social media, it’s possible to get a skewed view of the public consensus."

What a turrible article. Just fucking turrible.
"What separates Browning from Price and Pickett is that the Huskies are 29-11 in his three years as starter, with an appearance in the national semifinals against Alabama as a sophomore and the Fiesta Bowl against Penn State as a junior – although both were losses. The Huskies went 23-16 under Price from 2010-13, and 21-16 under Pickett from 2001-03. Those UW teams were battling for a middling bowl game; the Huskies under Browning have had legitimate opportunities to make a national mark."
You think Browning on a 2001- 03 Rick/Gibly or 2010- 13 Sark team would have done any fucking better than Rodeo Cody or Teeth Price? Give me a fucking break Larry Scott FS. Stats are for losers. Our corch said as much. -
"Browning is safely in Husky Hall of Fame, retired uniform number, all-time legend territory."

Too damn funny. I loved Jake after Stanford 2016 and his point the next week. But he is what he is. A slightly above average noodle-armed pants shitter.Neighbor2972 said:"Browning is safely in Husky Hall of Fame, retired uniform number, all-time legend territory."

Would have been a perfect article if released on April 1st then at the bottom it said “all that being said Jake Browning still sucks”

I had a good belly laff at that seeing as how #11 #32 and #90 aren't even retired...Neighbor2972 said:"Browning is safely in Husky Hall of Fame, retired uniform number, all-time legend territory."

"rip-job cowboy" would be a great handle! Is it too late to change mine!

Jake browning went to social media to let you shitheads know what he thinks -
He could shut us up except he can't because he sucks
-
Stone did a great job of articulating my feelings about Browning this time last year.
But last season a) every single one of the criticisms against him was reinforced (panicky in the pocket, disappears in big games) and b) he proved that his monster 2016 season was more about John Ross and less about Browning, I'm done with Jake.
He is who he is at this point.
We're fucked. -
Oh you mean like the Utah game last year.RaceBannon said:He could shut us up except he can't because he sucks

Browning didn't drop 2k on the fiesta bowl new year's weekend. I showed up. I did my job.LoneStarDawg said:

Check the archives, I've been his biggest fan since I watched him play in the state championship in high school.
I just can't vouch for him anymore when it comes to leading the team to victory in a big game. I hope he proves me wrong, but even my dooging has limits. -
I've still never understood why you aren't supposed to criticize players. (Aside from going after Gundy instead)
They are literally entertainment for us and people pay money to see them.
It's like not being able to criticize and actor in a shitty movie. "You don't even know! I worked hard for this!"
Well who cares fucko. You didn't make a movie to make a movie and accomplish something. You made a movie to entertain people. Their opinion is all that matters.
Players aren't in pursuit of some grand goal and we're just chirping from the sidelines. Entertaining us IS the goal.
Get off my fucking lawn.
and get me taco bell -
I’m rooting for Browning

The most underappreciated player on the team is, by definition, always WTE. Steve Irwin, or whatever our punter is called, would be #2.
After that, I'd probably list Gaines and even Rapp.
Browning isn't maybe quite as bad as some of his harshest critics like to say, but he is just a game manager who thinks he is a game changer. He does do a pretty solid job getting the ball to guys that are wide fucking open, so long as he can determine that they will be pre-snap and they aren't more than 30 yards from him. -
Why don't you fucking do some stretching and fix your pelvic tilt fuck head. So tired of looking at your puff butt bullshit Jake. You should also try giving an authentic interview for once. -
He's like a goofy, not nearly as good Russell Wilson in that respect. They both just ooze coachspeak and insincerity. I'll give them credit for this though: they know that plays well with their head coaches.Gwad said:

I’ve hated him as much as anyone at times. Dropping back 15 yards to take a sack in a big moment is sit-your-ass-on-the-bench worthy.AIRWOLF said:The most underappreciated player on the team is, by definition, always WTE. Steve Irwin, or whatever our punter is called, would be #2.

But so is throwing 5 dumb fuck picks (Hi Coogs!) which Browning has never done.
He threw some in that loss to ASU in 2015, but since then he hasn’t just straight up fucked us in that way. -
His problem is that when the wall is coming down on him he needs to looks down the middle and hit one of our midgets on a quick slant for 10+ or a crossing routes for 20+. He doesn’t have the balls nor the arm to do that.
-
He is what he is. He is a game manager who can hit guys that are really open. If Bush can coach the wanna' be playmaker out of him, he will be more effective. His unathletic attempts to be Russell Wilson go badly far too often.haie said:

I was thinking about this last night. Browning has feasted on inferior teams. But by my reckoning, he has faced only 6 good defenses in the past 2 years: Stanford twice, USC once, P12CG vs. CU, Pedo State, and Bammer. He is 2-4 in those games. Hyperbole aside, it is fair to say he played poorly in all four losses. In the two wins, he played well once (Stanford '16) but really wasn't the difference in the game.
There are a lot of underrated players on the UW roster. But there is no rational basis to claim Browning is one of them. -
What does that asshole RACE BANNON have to say now!!!!!Neighbor2972 said:"Browning is safely in Husky Hall of Fame, retired uniform number, all-time legend territory."

Best qb room in the country...purty isnt it? Notice Jake looking off the safety already (in midseason form). That a boy Browning. Why he's the best returning qb, and 4-year starter, in the conference. Maybe the countryGwad said:

What a moron. So, apparently beating up on cal, oregon state and wazzu should make up for crapping the bed against good teams.
