Talking Heads and everyone else is a distant 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc
-
Scritti Politti is the shit. Woefully underrated.

I love all this shit. Salt Lake was one of if not the biggest hotbed for this genre. It's even making a comeback. Two local radio stations are pumping this shit out like it's the 80s again. But better, there was only one station back then.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:https://www.ranker.com/list/new-wave-bands-and-musicians/reference?utm_expid=16418821-388.8yjUEguUSkGHvlaagyulMg.0&utm_referrer=https://www.bing.com/

I don't like Depeche mode though
Something about them bugs me
It's like oddly boring or something -
I like DM, "Some great reward" and "Violator" are two of my favorite albums. "Music for the Masses" will get some play when I'm getting fucked up as well. I work with a lot of millennials and they have no concept of listening to the entirety of an album. The progression of how an artist builds a record is part of what makes bands great. That and the ability to translate the album live. If the kids don't listen to ten genres of music in an hour and a half off the "playlist" they all get bored. I'm slow strategy as fuck!Pitchfork51 said:I don't like Depeche mode though

Blue October rated wae tu lo.

Kreist just saw they had Simple Minds at #2. They had one fucking album and their lead singer is more known for being Chrissy Heinz' bitch than any of their fucking music. Tears for Fears should be higher.
HOWEVER they're all still chasing the Fixx. -
