I fail to see how Izbicki has any relevance here other than he was also rated highly and apparently you thought he was overrated as well. Totally different types of players.

Maybe Ruth can take the lead on recruiting him? She has a very impressive track record.

20-something years ago we got a 3 star kid from Cheney......ended up being arguable the best UW football player of all time.

    Stars don't matter.

Who was that? I recall 2 star that fits that bill, bur not a 3 star.

I couldn't remember if 2 or 3....and I didn't want to embellish the story by going the other way.

I don't think so. Everyone knows Dean Empterman was a one star diamond in the rough who had no other offers.

How many times are we going to bring up the "2-star farmboy from Cheney"? Give it a rest. We all know #90 was a little known 2-star. Just like a little known Pansy from little Milton College, throwing a football through a hole in the wall, in the beat-down gymnasium, by the name of Dave Krieg!

no duck nuts, Izbicki was from the eastside. Kingco? Crest? I don't know anymore, all I know is star players from the eastside RARELY pan out. OK, John Fiala went to LW, and one of very few to excell. How's the DE from Juanita doing? JR Hasty was a stud. So was #22. Go to Lakewood for talent, not the cushy eastside. And Myles Jack hasn't done anything. I bet he pusses out with the majority of eastsiders. I'm not sold on Jack.

If Mora had been hired in 2007, I'll bet that Hasty would have rushed for 600 yards in 2008 while Savannah would have been All Pac-10.
