His name is Jude Wolfe. Of course he's WTE.
-
He has that slightly chubby dudebro look. USC all the way.
-
I hope we get him, not because he is good but because of all the Jew jokes on HH.
-
The Jude did this?!?

This kid now has offers from Bama, LSU, Florida, Notre Dame, and USC.
Now would be a good time for Paopao to justify keeping a TE coach on staff -
I'm not against having a TE coach. But if you have a TE coach, he better be able to win some recruiting battles.BallzDeep said:
Huh? We play two and sometimes three TE's at the same time. Of coarse we need a TE coach.Neighbor2972 said:This kid now has offers from Bama, LSU, Florida, Notre Dame, and USC.

Sure. But keeping those guys in state doesn't make him a great recruiter. Its not like they came to UW because of Paopao.BallzDeep said:
Does he get no credit for keeping Austin Sefarian-Jenkins, Hunter Bryant, and Devin Culp home?Neighbor2972 said:

A TE coach only needs to recruit 1-2 guys a year so its hard to tell how good of a recruiter he really is. Maybe behind the scenes he's been really helpful recruiting Arizona & his other areas. On the surface though, it doesn't seem like he does that much. -
Do you have any pictures of his hips?

I tend to think PaoPao does more than we realize. Being the one Sark holdover on the staff it doesn't seem like Pete would feel any great loyalty to him. Yet here he is, four plus years later. Pete's shown a willingness to fire his guys who aren't producing, I don't think he'd hesitate to fire a guy who wasn't his.
I imagine there's a good reason he's still around. -
I agree with DNC. Doesn't hurt to have another poly coach on staff either. He's young and can relate to these kids. I think he helps reinforce other positions in addition to his work recruiting TE's. His position group has been one of the most consistent so far and the future looks brighter than ever. I love how we use them in our offense.dnc said:I tend to think PaoPao does more than we realize. A guy to watch this spring is Cade Otton...he's going to be a beast. -
He was recruiting for UW while at Asuza Pacific?BallzDeep said:

Thats my DWAG! -
Jacob Kizer was destroying people late in the year, specifically cougs. I think he has a chance to be a really good WTE.

Hopefully 15pounds bigger this year. I miss dissly already - he was amazing for our offense.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:Jacob Kizer was destroying people late in the year, specifically cougs. I think he has a chance to be a really good WTE.

Hey Jude, don't make me sad

He was retained because we needed a Poly coach on staff. Pete offered the position to Marques and MT, in all his wisdom, followed Sark to USC.dnc said:I tend to think PaoPao does more than we realize. He's not some fucking magician. He's just some random doucher. He's not bad enough to get fired because we never need to recruit anyone who is that hard to get (he won't get them if they are) and he's a good enough coach to hang around.
How bad of a coach do you have to be to fuck up coaching in Pete's system? Only Pease has gotten fired for coaching and he was just arrogant. -
Hey, Jude will be in South Bend this weekend for Junior day so I will try to get some updates.
What I know so far:
ND had a Junior day last month with a lot more recruits, this one is smaller with a lot more individual time with recruits attending.
Jude told us he honestly doesn’t know anything about ND, so he is really excited about seeing it & learning about it. I found this interesting because he named ND “at the top” of his list with no knowledge? This weekend could blow him away.
On the opposite side is the thing we refer to as the “ND offer affect.” This is what happens when a 3 Star kid with regional offers gets an ND offer which then opens up his national recruitment. Then neither ND or the local schools get him. This is what is currently happening with Jude. He told us he never saw himself leaving the West Coast, and being a local recruit. Then ND offered & he decided to travel. Then UF offered. Then Bama offered. Now he is a national recruit. If ND doesn’t lock him up this weekend he won’t be going there. He told us he wants to commit this summer.
After this weekend I will give my prediction. But here’s my thought process:
If he verbals to ND that shows me he is willing to leave the West Coast but probably ends up at Bama or UF. If not, then it’s a West Coast battle, with Bama always the wild card (ND out of it). -

Visiting this weekend with a handful of others.

I would really enjoy him as the next in the line of amazing UW WTE.
If not I’ll take Foskey as the next in the line of beast BTE. -

Because after a lifetime of being beaten down I've prepared myself not to expect nice things.dnc said:
