    In December, singer Shaimaa Ahmed was handed a two-year prison sentence for “inciting debauchery” after she appeared in a music video in her underwear while suggestively eating a banana.

    Another pop singer, Laila Amer, was arrested in January over the ‘sexually suggestive’ music video of her song Boss Oumek (Look At Your Mother) in which she can be seen dancing ‘provocatively’.
