WTF does that mean?
Is Wilcox out?
-
BTW - congrats to Tui

Chip Kelly plan in motion. Stay loose dawgs, prepare for war

Does this suggest Wilcox is not going to be a HC candidate? I'd rather him move on to USC and get his $1M buyout at this point.
-
WHAT?! No "two headed coaching monster" with Nuss and Wilcox....like SoftyFS was bragging about on twatter?
Tragedy.......FML -
Unless he's moving on, this makes little sense.
But then again, I keep forgetting who our AD is.UWhuskytskeet said:Does this suggest Wilcox is not going to be a HC candidate? I'd rather him move on to USC and get his $1M buyout at this point.

They appoint non-coordinators as interim coaches a lot. I wouldn't read that much into it.

when do they backup the wrecking balls and turn
Husky Stadiumthe Athletic Department into the parking lot it should be? -
Fun fact: Tui will be the 3rd UW HC out of the last 5 who went straight from position coach to HC.
We're back! -
Isn't it cool that our admin likes to give people a chance to better themselves?
Can't say that about some fucking schools!dnc said:Fun fact: Tui will be the 3rd UW HC out of the last 5 who went straight from position coach to HC.

Why do you guys give a fuck? This says nothing and he's coaching the squiggly Mac and cheese bowl that matters a fuck not.
Good for Tui. -
Good for Tui. It seems Sark wants most of the defensive staff, and Tui does not want to follow Sark. We can count on Tui being loyal to Washington as long as Washington is loyal to him. He is safe, and the players can start practicing and getting ready.
It means nothing about the HC recruit except that it keeps Woodward's options open. -
That'd be some sweet tailgating right there.BlowItUp said:when do they backup the wrecking balls and turn

Tui actually makes some sense as the interim. He could possibly be retained by the new head coach and in any case is likely to remain loyal to the program and his alma mater, especially the recruiting such as it is. Anybody else on the staff will probably be looking for another job while helping Tui prepare for the bowl game. Wilcox it should be expected is looking for a head coaching opportunity and may be a candidate at UW or not, but should not be counted on as an interim for he could leave at any time to a new employer expected to cover his $ 1M buyout.
On the other hand, could Woody be setting us up for an Emmert kind of hire. We cannot forget that Woody himself was an interim AD who Dr. Snakeoil magically (or lazily) turned into our permanent AD even though pool boy had absolutely zero qualification operationally for the job, especially in the skill required for hiring head football coaches. At least Tui knows a lot more about football that Woody or probably anybody around here. -
Tui is a Washington man, and a position coach ... score on the part of Woody .. consistency matters you know.
