    so Sark is taking basically his entire staff that has recruited the players who play on the team that barely gets 7 wins with a weakened schedule and that's going to work at SC? mmmm kaky

    Heyward was the one assistant I really wanted to keep.

    Oh well. He'll be available again in three years when Sark gets fired at halftime of his annual plungering at the hands of UCLA.

    So it takes 5 years and numerous hit you over the head moves for a couple of doogs to finally start to figure out our AD is nothing but a Pool Boy? Them some smart folks over there...

    And why am I thinking the only 2 coaches from the previous staff that will be around next year will be Tui and Coz?

    In the coaching carousel, how is it on Woodward to keep Heyward? Doesn't the new head coach have the ultimate say? Is their a stipulation in the contract that says the new coach must keep a former assistant? What respectable proven worth hiring coach doesn't want to bring his own guys with him? It's about job security and they are all gone if they are worth a damn and desperate if they are staying (minus Tui because he is a Dawg and to a lesser extent a Bruin).

    Agreed. Of all the things to piss on Woodward over, retaining Heyward, tosh, sirmon, etc isn't one of them.

    Wilcox has a $1 million dollar buyout. Haden paid for Sark. Will he pay an extra million for an assistant coach? Might there be trouble in South Central Paradise? Stay tuned...

    The Head coach is all that matters. Let him hire his own staff. The contracts with existing staff can easily be addressed. If the new coach wants them, great. Give them raises and extensions. If the new coach does not want them, pay them to administer off season workouts or something.... Or cut a deal and let them coach elsewhere. It is not rocket science.
