    Read the article. Even if CNN doctored the wording of the question, it's not like they were censoring the question to keep within some narrative like this headline is trying to imply. Kid wanted to ask about arming teachers and the question was still about arming teachers... it just wasn't in his exact words.

    Most likely thing that happened here, IMO, was that the question(s) the kid wrote weren't concise/direct/straightforward, which they need to be so that the politicians and viewing audience doesn't misinterpret anything about it.

    This is absolutely trying to make something out of nothing... but that's half of all headlines these days.
