Journalism's Fear of Jesus; The Passion of the Tebow

The media's maniacal obsession over Tim Tebow is mainly due to his unabashed Christian faith. It's evidence of society's ever increasing fear to reference God or Jesus in public.

In other news, right wing, conservative evangelicals in this Cuntry voted overwhelmingly for a man who is about as sinful as it gets short of shooting someone on 5th Ave. And speaking of raiding the treasury like King Obama, how about that $1 trillion in Red for 2018. Render unto Caeser so you can get some judges or something.

I think you both got whooshed.
But yes, Trump is a blackeye for evangelicals, no question. -
I'm drinking a lot of bourbon tonight and succeptable to getting whooshed and going full on Little Jimmy.dnc said:I think you both got whooshed.

Trump and Roy Moore (who only lost by 1.5 percent) proves the evangelical community is hypocritical.
-
I disagree on Roy Moore. I think evangelicals by and large really believe the accusations are false. I think that demonstrates their? willful ignorance, confirmation bias some might say, but I don't think that makes them necessarily hypocritical.Passion said:Trump and Roy Moore (who only lost by 1.5 percent) proves the evangelical community is hypocritical.
Trump, yeah, there's no defending that. Hypocrisy indeed.
Sad. -
The fact that they believe all of those independent accusations are false proves they’re hypocritical.dnc said:

Roy Moore was running against someone that was pro baby murder. It's really easy to look at what Moore was accused of but if you consider abortion to be murdering a baby then it kinda evens out.Passion said:Trump and Roy Moore (who only lost by 1.5 percent) proves the evangelical community is hypocritical.

Not sure if serious, but yeah that's kind of the evangelical slant.allpurpleallgold said:

I don't always talk abortion at Hardcore Husky but when I do, I save it for the Tug.

I’m an agnostic, but I agree with the article.
The mainstream media is in a bubble that floats further to the left every time Joy Behar opens her pie hole.
Imagine Brooke Baldwin casting her disapproving eye as we march into our Socialistic dystopian future....

This ignores the facts, or is just fucking stupid. In the republican primary, right-wing evangelicals could have chosen Luther Strange, an anti-reproductive rights republican.allpurpleallgold said:

Instead they chose the child molester, Roy Moore. That proves they care less about abortion, and just have no problem with child molesters...as long as it’s their child molester. -

No one's afraid.
People who proclaim their faith loudly at every opportunity are without exception annoying sanctimonious faggots. -
^ I was going to say something similar. If he's Baptist or whatever, great. He wouldn't shut up about it. Ever. He also sucked really badly in the NFL. I know this is at least partially a (re)piece to generate a little traffic.Pitchfork51 said:No one's afraid.

Agree about the male bashing. We're going on two generations of broken homes, single mommies, soy mama's boys, thugs without a father figure etc. I am as sick as anyone else about it. It's taboo to talk about, which is all the more infuriating. -

@Dennis_DeYoung is a good guy to talk whenever one's Full Bore Little Jimmy tendencies start getting out of hand. He reminds us that in terms of evolutionary psychology, religion is something that we as human beings are "selected for" and that's just the way it is. A large percentage of college and pro athletes and going to be wired to be "All glory to him" and not much is going to change, so no sense in worrying about it.
In my days, Row Boat was a hot bed of agnostics and atheists with a small number of believers mixed in. I think it was because of the predominance of tall, Viking genes and the paganism of the past had never really left us. -
