Your point was kind of silly. Oregon has never relied on Oregon kids.

This year's recruiting class, while disappointing after being #1 for a spell, is a top-notch class.

Will they develop and win? Look into your Cristoball for answers.

And its kind of funny getting such a littlebro poast from a Cuog - since we usually get them from the Beevs.

It was a decent class for you guys. But this was THE year for Oregon to look out into the front yard and they didn't.

Instead they were left holding the bag, in a manner, on multiple recruits that would have made Susan Lucci cringe.

Just checked, and Wazzu went 2 for 33 on 3-star or better players from Washington State this year. Eastern picked up 4 and the Beevs got 3 (with a coaching change!)

Or if you want to just look at WA's 4 four-stars, WSU got 1, UW got 2, and FSU got 1.

Wazzu had to fight off Boise and Utah for Rodrick Fisher.

Except WSU doesn't think they are an elite program like Oregon does.

But with 3 straight losses to WSU, I could see where Oregon fan might get confused with that.

The only two prospects worth their salt in Oregon in 2019 are our wide receiver coach's son and our quarterback's brother. If we build a wall around them, but don't get any other four-star players then fire everyone.

It's actually worse. They closed on 1/7 according to the composite, or 0/5 if you go by just 247. And the best part is that we snagged 2 of their better in-state guys, one of whom is a brother of a former duck. Even during the Oregon heyday, we did a decent enough job of fending off Chip and co. and keeping local talent at home. I don't believe they ever once came into our state and did a better job of cleaning up local talent than we did, like we just did to them this year. This would have been a pipe dream three years ago.

And look where that got you:

    0-12 against Oregon
7-6 as far as the eyes could see

I'm not saying that Oregon shouldn't go after local kids when they are worthwhile prospects (and this year there were some, for once)... but to ignore the coaching change and all that drama is also kinda FS.
