A few players that could save Sark's A**

1. Clearly, Keith Price could make Sark look very good this year. However, does Sark crumble in a tight game late in the 4th? Probably. Does Price get any blocking this year? Does a second wide receiver emerge?

2. Shaq Thompson & Sean Parker. Clearly these two are the meat of the defense and both will have to play at high level because outside of those two not many are passing the eye test.

3. Corey Littleton. Is he really going to start over Shirley? Time will tell but if this kid lives up to the hype he could bring some play making ability the dawgs have lacked for who knows how long now.

4. Dwayne Washington. Now if he comes in at 215 in the fall he will be a tremendous compliment to Sankey. Washington to me was the most exciting player of the spring. However, does Sark screw it up lining up shotgun 80% of the time? Probably.

5. A second WR, I have no idea who that will be. Diandre Campbell is not a D-1 WR, even though he received rave reviews in the spring. He was not impressive in the circus game to close out April. Is it Stringfellow? Another freshman to rely on?

I didn't include ASJ because you know what you are getting with him. If he doesn't get the ball at least 8 times a game and finish the year with 12 TD's another reason to fire Sark.

Sark needs a second WR badly and he needs Thompson and Parker to play out of their minds every Saturday.

Even w/o James Johnson the receivers should be better. Mickens will be improved and one of the frosh, probably Stringfellow will contribute. The OL was actually playing better at the end of the year and had a great second half against Boise. Price was just gone by then and hurt by poor receiver play and Sark's decision not to use the reliable Cody Bruns. With a stable OL and better receiver options Price should have a better year.

Dwayne Washington- I'm highly skeptical. I'll believe it when I see it.

Injuries will also play a big factor. The reality is if you didn't lose those lineman last year you probably win 9+ games. On the contrary, I don't think this team has any better depth than it did 4 years ago. More talent yes but not more depth. The DL will be a disaster if Shelton goes down. The DB's will be trouble if Parker goes down. There is no depth behind ASJ. If the recruiting wasn't so mediocre you'd have had the depth to withstand injuries last year and this year.

Sankey is probably one guy who could really save Sark's ass. If healthy and with a stable OL and better receivers maybe Sankey could have an AA-type season.

On defense its probably Shaq or Shelton. Shelton may be able to mitigate the weak DL by occupying two blockers. Hudson would be great if he's your #4 or #5 lineman but he happens to be our #2. He did have 6.5 sacks last year and as least adequate. The DL could be average if Vatuvei returns to health and you get enough contributions from the freshman.

Shaq could save Sark's ass. Last year he had 74 tackles, 8.5 tfl and 3 picks. If he increases all those numbers (say 100-12-5) than he could get AA-consideration. Going from year 1 to 2 he definitely could have the type of season to merit AA-consideration. He would need to plug holes in the run D and have even a great impact in the pass game.

Not sure on Parker. Is he good because hes actually good or is is just because he stands out on a mediocre team?

If UW is going to have a 9-10 win season it comes down to winning two of the ASU-UCLA-OSU games. The way they is Sankey, ASJ, Shaq and Shelton play like AA's. If theres any hope its that UW is top-heavy and its handful of best players are better than their counterparts. So if these guys have AA-like seasons or are able to dominate against good teams then thats where Sark's ass will be saved.

not to use the reliable Cody Bruns.

This isn't Dawgman. Don't say retarded shit. What part of 23 career catches seems reliable to you? Does he also run great routes? Have great hands? Remind you of a young Ricky Proehl/Ed McCaffrey/Danny Amendola/Steve Largent?

Bruns was also scrappy with a great work ethic

During spring training in the early 50s, a bunch of players were vying for the starting job at first base for the Yankees. A reporter asked manager Casey Stengal who his first basemen was. Stengal replied, "When you've got four first basemen, you've got no first basemen."

Sark was in position to win 9 games even after losing 3 starting lineman last year. All the fucker had to do was FINISH.

Had he won the last 2 games to finish 9-4, I would've shut the fuck up about him and fucktarded coaching. Instead, he went 7-6 which we all know is better than 7-6. As a result, UW lost 2 season tickets and I'm sitting in my mom's basement in my sweat pants.

My list of six guys who could save Sark's ass:

Daeshon Hall - total game changer at the DE position. Who could ever forget the St. Tosh Day Massacre when he committed to UW? Glorious.

Myles Jack - I'm hearing this stud local LB's commit to UCLA isn't nearly as solid as what he's saying in public. He's been attending UW practices and his BFF Ryan Turman guarantees he's coming to UW. When Sark turns him, you haters will see why everyone says Sark's a great recruiter.

Reuben Foster - Yeah, yeah, yeah, the biggest schools in the country are after him. But Sark and Tosh have covered him in magical recruiting dust. He is in love with the fishing in the PNW, and his mom who works at an SEC school thinks he needs to get out of the area. Combined with Jack he'll give UW the top LB class in the nation. Stay tuned for the Woof Heard Round The World!

Josh Garnett - UW has struggled on the OL under Sark. Enter this 5 star legacy recruit. Match made in "Woof" heaven right here. Don't worry about the flirtation with Stanford, he's all Dawg.

Zach Banner - As if Garnett wasn't enough, enter another 5 star legacy OL. Will surpass James Atoe as the highest first round draft pick Sark's produced. Unless he picks USC, in which case he's probably just an idiot.

Lavon Hooks - Another monster from SEC country, this JUCO DT has already given his silent verbal to Sark. All we're waiting for is the paperwork. What could possibly go wrong?

Banner is terrible. WDWHA might be a little strong because some of our OL are terrible and should be playing at Portland State (ie: Hindu, Fuvai, Tufunga), but Banner got worked by high school DE's everytime I watched him play (at least 4 times over 3 years).

Of course when I brought this up I was told, "Banner is 6'9" 320 and is blocking guys 6'0" 215. Once he gets to college he will be blocking guys closer to his size and do better." Right, because blocking high school scrubs is so much harder than blocking Pac 12 DE's. He won't sniff the field at USC.
