The head makes an effective silencer. When I was a kid, one of our neighbors blew his own head off with a shotgun in his apartment, and his body wasn't found for several days. More recently, when my cousin's husband blew his head off in his son's bedroom during a SWAT standoff after murdering my aunt and uncle, the SWAT outside didn't know until they sent in a flashbang robot with a camera.

This is obviously unfortunate. I've had friends growing up that were in combat and other I've met while serving who were in that have taken their own lives. Get help. If you ever have the slightest thought and ending it all might be the answer start getting help then.

I can't imagine the demons this kid was dealing with. A QB at a P5 school with the keys to the starting spot is the dream of the bulk of male youth. You'd have to be in a bad place to want to throw that away.

Neville has basically zero chance at starting. He showed complete disinterest and lack of effort with the scout team this fall. I'm convinced he's on the roster to show that WSU gives second chances and doesn't pull scholarships, and also as an extra arm for passing drills. Hilinski's suicide is probably the only thing keeping the coaches from having the "you should transfer" conversation with him.

The freshmen players rally around Bledsoe. Look for either Bledsoe or Cammon Cooper who just arrived on campus a couple weeks ago to be starter in 2018.
