Awfully warm out for 2019 Cardbored Pete

Why did we give him a scholarship if he hasn't committed yet? C'mon Pete.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said: -
does big scholarship differ from scholarship?
Please god be the difference is it comes with a coffee cup or immigration papers or something. -
If we could get this kid that would be money

He can't outrun white guys half the time. Give me Austin Jones
-
When I saw his name I assumed he was a rapper.

Names UW as one of his leaders in this article. Snake oil salesman Willie Taggs and Cristoballz are our main competition right now.
I love his film, 2nd best RB on our board behind Austin Jones IMO. His acceleration is unreal.

Yankoff to Dollars for the money shot

I'll let one of the more informed teen boy stalkers comment, but I honestly wonder if Pete told Bonerpopper to mail it in on the 2018 class and just go hard on 2019 for the past 6 months.
We are seemingly in the top 2 for Jones, Dollars, Davis, and Madison, and there could be more given our extensive offer list. DL and RB are our biggest needs IMO for the class, so getting 2 really good ones is critical. -
I don't think they ever set out with the objective of mailing it in, the 2018 west coast RB class just sucked badly. Only teams who got good one's had to get them from the East coast (Oregon and USC, both of whom are actually relevant out there).Woof said:I'll let one of the more informed teen boy stalkers comment, but I honestly wonder if Pete told Bonerpopper to mail it in on the 2018 class and just go hard on 2019 for the past 6 months.

That said, it does make it easier to pitch early playing time to the 2019 guys. -
If he wanted to mail it in, why not just take 0 RB's, and just say that Trey Lowe was our RB? Which is probably what we should've done looking at the '19 class, and maybe they would've if they knew Gaskin was (probably) coming back.Woof said:I'll let one of the more informed teen boy stalkers comment, but I honestly wonder if Pete told Bonerpopper to mail it in on the 2018 class and just go hard on 2019 for the past 6 months.

I like Jones and Davis.BallzDeep said:Dollars is pretty good. Wouldn't mind if UW got him but my top two backs offered so far are Austin Jones and Zach Charbonnet.

Agree, but my counter argument would be that Dick Newton is essentially the equivalent of mailing it in given how the rest of the class turned out. They needed a warm body too, given the potential of losing both Gaskin and Coleman.Neighbor2972 said:

For me Jones is the crown jewel, with Davis, Wilson, and Dollars all just a little behind (in that order). I would be very happy with any of them though. -
I'd put safety at the top as well.Woof said:I'll let one of the more informed teen boy stalkers comment, but I honestly wonder if Pete told Bonerpopper to mail it in on the 2018 class and just go hard on 2019 for the past 6 months.

Amazing how quickly those spots flipped. -
So what I’m hearing is that we need to recruit every position at a high level always?dnc said:

In most recent Interview with Angulo he said USC, Oregon, and Mississippi State are in on him the hardest. I wonder how much we're looking at him now that we have Davis? I hope we still try to get him in the boat.

Austin Jones or bust. Dollars is just aight.FKA_Mousecop said:In most recent Interview with Angulo he said USC, Oregon, and Mississippi State are in on him the hardest. I wonder how much we're looking at him now that we have Davis? I hope we still try to get him in the boat.

Hope this doesn't hurt us on the Criddell front, but I agree that Jones has to be the primary other RB target until you think he's going elsewhere.FKA_Mousecop said:In most recent Interview with Angulo he said USC, Oregon, and Mississippi State are in on him the hardest. The thing that worries me about Dollars is that he jus uses his speed to run around people, without getting too physical or making a lot of guys miss. I’m skeptical that his style will translate well to the next level when more defenders are as fast as he is.NorwegianHusky said:

Davis has almost the same level of speed/burst as Dollars but looks more comfortable running between the tackles.
Jones is the complete package. -
