I don't need to understand it. There is an Excel function for it you can just plug in, and it does all the math for you behind the scenes.

I don’t make any lists and that’s completely ok with me, my drill instructor late in boot camp once stopped drill and called me in front of the formation. He told everyone I was the best recruit in the platoon and asked them if they knew why. He then proceeded to say it was because we had been there for over 2 months and he had no idea who the fuck I was.

Best compliment I’ve ever received.
