Curne's got future all conference written all over him ... very mobile and powerful out of the G position.
If you have an elite OL, what you're looking for are G's that are as adept in run blocking (typical strength of a G) as they are at pass blocking (typical weakness). When you think about it, the typical pass rusher in the middle combines typical size of a DT requiring strength but needed agility to pick up the blitz from a mobile LB and/or S.
When you imagine a player of Curne's caliber playing G against an Alabama and then compare to what we had in Atlanta with Nick Harris and it's night and day difference. Curne is what a high end SEC/National Elite G looks like.

If you look at the last handful of classes, we've gotten Fuller (not terrible), Levi (future all conference player), and Curne.RhythmicSlappingDawg said:

As you mentioned, we're looking really good for Jernigan.
I suspect that we'll continue to pull at least 1 very good player out of Texas each year and it wouldn't shock me if we were able to get up to 2-3 in the next few years.
The thing is that we don't need to be in Texas pulling out a ton of guys ... but if we can supplement our usual recruiting areas with some other areas where we're able to get an elite caliber player that just increases the number of elite guys that we'll be able to bring in. And ultimately, that's how we're building classes consistently at a level that gets us on that National Level consistently. -
this kids movement is elite for 300+ guy. so raw too

I stand corrected. I guess I better fluff for Huff.Dennis_DeYoung said:
He had offers from A&M and LSU.EsophagealFeces said:I didn’t realize he’s only 6’3”. That explains why we got him. If he was 6’5”, one of the southern Bruce Waynes would have cock blocked us.

do we? know if those LSU and A&M offers were actually ones he would have been able to actually commit to, though?
