This staff's ability to hold onto commits really is insane

Yeah fuck Marlon and snowboardboi. What they did this year was incredible.

Told the 4 star instate QB with elite arm talent he'd be the only QB recruit, then decided they needed to add another one because of depth issues, reeled in another stud 4 star who's arguably better than the first kid, and somehow held onto them both for months. @RoadDawg55 guaranteed Sirmon would decommit at some poont, and I and others agreed with him. Holding him was huge.

Got a great under the radar CB commit who said from day one he was signing in February, scaring all of us he was waiting for a bigger offer (which his talent was likely to get him) then flipped him to a December signing at the last possible minute.

Held onto a Duck legacy recruit despite a coaching change in Oregon that could have reopened him to their program.

Got Kaho to commit and flip to a December signing and actually sign.

Held onto motherfucking Victor Curne despite him being from Texas.

And all this in the social media era where it seems like one out of 3 commits flips at some point.

The only kid we *lost* was Bolton and it seems just as likely that we backed off as he bailed on us. And either way, he was a bottom 5 recruit in the class at best.

Every 4 star who committed signed (pending Bynum if you consider him a 4). Every 3 star who should have been a 4 star who committed signed (Mele, Curne, Hampton, Culp, arguably Jackson).

We also closed on stud talent late for the first time in who knows how long. Taimani, Kaho and Hampton (sort of). And it looks like Gordon. And oh yeah, a QB who was a 5 star two years ago and started in the SEC as a true frosh.

If Gordon signs this is our best class in the online recruiting service era IMO, regardless of who else does or doesn't sign. Not only do you have a lot of high caliber talent, not only do you have multiple studs at the most important position, but you have balance. There's a minimum of a high DDY 2 in every position group except RB, and honestly Taimani should be a DDY 3 imo (love you Dennis!) which puts a DDY 3 at every position group except RB I believe (assuming Culp's a 3, maybe he's a 2). Buttfuck, what a class.

Long live Pete.
