A few random recruiting thoughts

Haven't seen these discussed, though maybe they have been:

- Does the commitment of Taimani (and to a lesser extent Kaho) increase our chances of bringing Lolohea in next year? He was Taimani's teammate and Kaho is obviously both Poly and LDS. Do we have a shot with this kid?

- What's going on with Tanner McKee? I understand his recruitment is quieter since he's taking a mission, but I'd still love to get him signed. Are the Poly Mormon kids any help in getting a whitebread Mormon like McKee? I assume not so much?

- I underrated Kaho (and I still had him really high). I loved him when he first started teasing us then gave up when he eliminated us and forgot how good he is. His tape is really good and his athleticism at the top of the class for his size and position. I doubt he gets the 5th star but he really is the best or second best recruit in this class. If he actually signs on Wednesday I'll cry tears of joy all over Swaye's favorite headdress. How the fuck did we beat Tosh for him???

To clarify, I have seen the Kaho stuff discussed, not the other two though.

And what about the kicker situation ? We can't go into next year with only Van Soderbergh on the roster.

I think they like Peyton Henry, but that's just a gut feeling.

For some perspective, Kaho is already a better athlete than KJ Wright a perennial pro bowl player.

He probably doesn't have inspector gadget arms like Wright though.

And KJ's my nega but he's made like one Probe Owl, not sure that qualifies as perennial.

KJ Wright is also noted as having been one of the most underrated players in the NFL in the past 5 years or so. His quality of play is that of a perennial pro bowler, whether he's been voted or not.

Agree with this. I think he's highly valuable.

He's a different player from Kaho though. Kaho's more like Wagner IMO.

Kaho is a lot more similar in size with Wright than Wagner which is scary.

Umm, he's exactly in between in height and closer to Bobby in weight.

He probably projects closer to KJ size but his game is always going to be more like Bobby's unless he has superhuman arm length which he doesn't appear to.

    Kaho's 6"3 235. KJ's 6"4 245. He plays more like Bobby. Just still crazy.

Sadly our ILB recruit is also a substantially better athlete than our RB recruit Fig Newton.

Still have no fucking idea how that guy ended up target #1 for us at RB.

Didn't someone say it was a really weak year for RB on the West Coast? I think there were only a couple good ones, and we didn't get one of them.

Dick Nut isn't a bad athlete. He's faster than Kaho. He's just a really one-dimensional runner who lacks bulk.

    Random thought 4:

Ariel Ngata may go down as one of the most important kids we ever recruited.
And who did we beat to get him? Oregon.
    fucking doog

I've been harder on Dick Nut than anybody. I thought we should pull his offer. I was just replying to that one dude saying he's not even athletic. That's like the one thing he has going for him. I'm too lazy to pull it up, but Nuttin did pretty well at the Opening last year.
