Oregon is winning 10 games next year regardless of who the coach is. They will do it again the next year if Herbert stays to be a senior (doubtful).Rapeculturedawg said:Gonna make for an interesting Civil War the next year or two. More than just a rivalry, a battle for bowl eligibility (best case)
After that, bowl games could be at a premium. -
If Burmeister gets his reads down this thing will get ugly quick.Mosster47 said:

So they hired a Florida International reject? Holy shit....

It's
sadGREAT to see how far Oregon has fallen. -
Another reason Oregon should not have hired Cristobal

Let’s not forget Gilby was going undefeated in his first year with a stud QB -

Gilby didn't have a stud QB. UW has had one stud QB in the last 25 years and one stud athlete that was grossly underutilized.LoneStarDawg said:

Two thoughts:
1. Sunk costs. Many Duck fans are applauding. How many would have been pushing hard to have Cristobal hired right after he was fired by FIU for sucking? Zero. Same guy. What's he done since then to show otherwise? Oh, he was the co-OC who helped Oregon get to a 4-5 conference record. My bad.
2. Can't help but wonder if Jim Leavitt is sitting there drinking beer and yelling at anybody who walks within earshot: "Well where's MY fucking petition?! Huh?!?" Makes me smile. -

God you're quooking so fucking hard right now. Just admit it. Oregon went from the most stable program in the country with a staff that had been there forever and was competing for national championships to a complete fucking dumpster fire after being tanked by Helfrich, Kiffined by Swaggart, and now your head coach is a guy who failed at Florida International and a year and a half ago was the TE coach at Alabama.Mosster47 said:

UW has been pretty much awful at QB the last 25 years, now included. -
Totes. I'm sure Herbert is going to get benched multiple times his senior year for being terrible.RaceBannon said:Loser teams worship recruiting - check

You have a strange definition of awful. 14 years you could get away with maybe.Mosster47 said:

That is what people were saying in the off-season when Gilby took over.
Just like you and others are quooking about Herbert leading the Ducks to 10 wins next season. Because hiring a staff member means continuity and everyone gets better, nothing gets worse! -
Herbert will be a Top 10 pick. UW has had one of those in the last 25 years and we can all agree he had shown nothing in his college career to warrant that.FremontTroll said:

That will be Oregon's fifth in that time span and they all got it much more for their play than just pure physical ability.
Again, really nothing about UW's last 25 years, which were mostly awful, apply to Oregon. -

I’m really looking forward to the beatdown the Ducks are going to lay on both UDub and The Coogies next year. I like MC talking about how physical the Ducks will be and his plans to make the offense even more explosive and diverse next year.
The Ducks will finish with a Top-10 class, the tops in the conference. With most of this staff looking to stay, the Ducks will win the North next year. Ducks v UCLA in the CCG.
Go Ducks! -
