11 Visitors This Weekend

First a look at the commits.
Now that I'm satisfied Lubick is staying (I think that's why we're bringing in Longo), I'm not really worried about Yankoff. I think Bush will bring him into the fold and we can have some nice competition at QB for the first time since... anyway, Trey Lowe is also coming in and as a Lubick kid as well. I think he is pretty firm.
Curne and Mele are also coming in and I assume there will be no bumps in the road here. Curne was looking around for a second, I think, but he looks locked in now.
Liu and Bynum come in this weekend. I like the idea that we'll have a couple DL commits talking with a guy who is ostensibly about to commit in Taimani (I think the deal is pretty much sealed here, but we will probably find some way to fuck it up).
Now the non-commits
The other kid that's interesting is Tremblay. I'm still worried about a late swing to USC, but I do think that after a good visit, we could have him wrapped up. I really think he's a sleeper key to our class in that he can help bridge the DL next year because I'm assuming Greg and Vita are gonezo.
Zion is sort of in the same boat as Taimani. I can't really imagine he's going anywhere else but UW and I assume he will commit if we want him to.
MJ Tafisi is another kid that I assume will commit if we want him to. I like his film.
Last, Stephen Blaylock is coming in. He was committed to UCLA forever, and with Martin leaving, he's a bit up in the air. I'm sure we will not take his commit if we think there's a possibility of Julius Irvin committing, so my guess is this is pretty much a 'go home and think about it' kind of situation.
OVERVIEW:
It seems like we will ultimately take 21-22 guys. That means there are 7 spots still open if we hold on to everyone (the only guy right now I'm worried about is Dominique Hampton). Who do we think it will be?
VERY LIKELY:
Sam Taimani
ZTP
MJ Tafisi
MAYBE:
Caleb Tremblay
PROBABLY NOT:
Kyler Gordon
Tommy Togiai
Halid Djibril
Maurese Wren
NO WAY:
Brandon Kaho
Abdul-Malik McClain
Jeremiah Martin
Julius Irvin
NO CHANCE IN HELL:
Solomon Tuliaupupu
Palaie Gaoteote
DO WE REALLY WANT THEM?
Stephen Blaylock
Aashari Croswell
So there you have it. We will finish with 4 spots unfilled and we will fill those with shitty guys like Will Pliska and Jesiah Irish.

One thing I’ve learned after a year of being here is if Dennis is being this negative about recruiting we are about to get some good commits.

Awesome! Thanks for the update!

Can we share this info on other sites or does it need to stay on here?

Might be a retarded question but does anyone have insight into what goes on during an official visit (apart from the usual bullshit of seeing the stadium/facilities/campus/talking with coaches)? Always been curious as to what actually goes down during a visit.

This is a retarded question. But, I'll answer it...at Pedo State you get molested. Here you get hookers and blow (see above). That about sums things up.DeepDawg said:Might be a retarded question but does anyone have insight into what goes on during an official visit (apart from the usual bullshit of seeing the stadium/facilities/campus/talking with coaches)? Interesting you didn't even mention Tre Harrison. So, is what we have been hearing true, that Pete, for whatever reason, isn't really recruiting him?Dennis_DeYoung said:These weekends are structured well. Yankoff comes in this weekend, Sirmon next. Okay, so some thoughts on each of the guys coming in:

Also, @SpiritHorse has never wavered for 6 months on Togiai, so yeah. Next time that horse is wrong will be the first. Then we'll all call him glue stick and I'll shoot him. -
Last January I saw a certain anonymous QB parading a group of commits around north campus to house parties, with one arm carrying a 24 rack of Coors and the other in a sling because the shoulder surgery he hadwhlinder said:

I think Harrison will end up at FSU.

Jesus Christ man! Do you really need to ask this? Consider the sensitivity of the insight he’s gifting to you. Do we want that out there for anyone to see? Get serious man!bananasnblondes said:Can we share this info on other sites or does it need to stay on here?

You shouldn't. He'd probably suck at Oregon, or be average at best. If he goes out of region, we have to compete with local teams for other players.dnc said:

This class really does have a chance to be incredible, fuck I'm dooging hard.
My guess right now would be: Zion, Tafisi, Taimani, Tremblay, Gordon/Irvin, Djibril/Blaylock/Croswell, Random BUCK Kawasaki seduces by February -
Good point Norwegian. However, TreShaun at FSU a) keeps Oregon from getting the TreShaun bump to their Sa'Vell Smalls recruitment b) keeps Oregon from getting a major foot in the door with RISE.
Tre'Shaun at Oregon is basically worst case scenario IMO. -
the high level of hubris on this bored bodes well for Oregon.Neighbor2972 said:This class really does have a chance to be incredible, fuck I'm dooging hard.

Also - Tre'Shaun will have a higher than average burn out chance at FSU.
-
Not to mention he's a dime a dozen at Florida State. So work ethic will matterDennis_DeYoung said:Also - Tre'Shaun will have a higher than average burn out chance at FSU.

Reggie Jones completely raided Rise football when he quit by creating Heir football taking smalls, Harrison and anybody remotely good with himdnc said:Good point Norwegian.
